| Wow... I just read all 40 pages of this, and it looks awesome. Okay, so some 60-70% of it is just "Neatzors!" and "Whenz it comming out?" But still... I'm off to play Space Angruya while I wait!! |

| Ok, this may not seem like a lot to you all, but I finished the spikes on the munificent. That was a huge psychological roadblock for me. I'm going to try and mess with UVs and textures now to get the munificent to look more like this |

| It is a droid ship, not much interior space is needed, it would be attached enough because star wars ships have shields, strong hull materials, and they're BIG. See the windows on it (I think they're windows)? Watch the beginning of episode 3 and you'll get a good sense of scale just from seeing the ships near Anakin's and Obi-wan's fighters.

| No, it's not just you, the GCW era is mostly about crappy looking empire ships and the grey-scale created as a result of having to make ship models by hand with heavy time constraints on ep 4. In the prequel trilogy lucas had CGI to work with so he could do much, much more. You should remember that in Star Wars turbolasers do some material damage, they don't cut huge pieces out of hulls, they mostly bring down ships by taking out key systems, or just by depressurizing the ship by creating a small hull breach (one fist-sized hole would be more than enough to leave a whole ship without air.) Trying to take out that much hull if the shields were down would be very inefficient compared to blasting a little hole in another area because that section would probably have better armor than the rest of the ship. I'm not sure wether munificents are supposed to have organic crews, the recusants, according to wookieepedia, were automated with slow droid brains, resulting in crashes and over-persistence.

| I understand what you're saying, but the aft section still looks as if it would break off from the weight of gravity if the ship was drydocked. This doesn't really have much to do with the actual map, though, so let's not spam up the thread. |

| Drydocked!!? I'm pretty sure that orbital drydocks would be far enough from the planet to prevent ships from breaking apart from gravity, and as far as on-the-planet drydocks, those probably weren't necessary and they would cause problems with having to take off and land in an atmosphere. This happens a lot in this thread, maybe an admin could go through it and delete or replace a bunch of chat or just copy the important stuff to some new thread. |
