completely awsome.
trainmaster you gotta teach me how to use Gmax. i'm hopeless with it.
anyways.
is it possible to add permanent damage to walls and such when they get hit by a blaster?

Have you considered my suggestion for the intercom sounds? I'm not sure if they're even easily accesed, but if they could be, that would be pretty cool.

I don't think you could do permanent damage in BF2 just because of how the game was made.The scorch marks that modders use in BF2 right now are just the ones that were naturally in the game, like the scorch marks in the BFX mod are just the marks made by Mace Windu's ground crack and they disappear.There is only a certain amount of how far you can take a game so permanent scorch marks just wouldn't be possible in Battlefront II.Trainmaster611 has enough in his hands anyway.

Umm, don't they already have intercom sounds?

Scorchmarks are just effects so they can't stay permanent in-game since its not an actual part of the map or anything. I can make the scorchmarks last longer (in theory I could do it to up to a half-hour) but it causes a lot of lag when you have a single effect going for that long. Keep in mind there will be quite a few of them. I'll probably keep the lifetime to around 15 seconds or so.

If it's possible, I was thinking of changing the intercom things to something useful, using the intercom sounds from RC. For example, if you were on a Lucrehulk that's running low on hit points, you could have the intercom say, "Hull Integrity Compromised". There's also one in the game for Republic ships, except it's a Kaminoan's voice instead of a droid's voice.

It's just an idea, and I'm not sure if it's doable or not. It would be cool, though.
