Absolute beginner question!
 

Help. We just bought our first x-box and purchased Star Wars Battlefront II. My young son would like to use x wing fighters to fly and fight. How do we get to them? Can we go straight there, or do we have to "earn" them? We are completely new to this realm, so complex answers may be a bit much for us...but we are trying.

go to singleplayer, go to instant action, press "add", select "space Yavin" or "Space Tatooine" or any other Galactic Civil War era space map. Ausalt is first team to get 180 points, CTF is Capture the Flag. Choose rebels, go to the hanger (if you are inside the turret area its the two doorson the wall. go over to an xwing (if there is none there, some will spawn [spawn= come into being]) press Y to get inside it, press X to take off, fly around.

Yup! No 'earning' needed, just load up Instant action and what tedarm said.
