half true.
I have never had any lag from slow connection people, BUT I have experienced the lag when in a chopper with someone who is lagging! I just bail out at that point. Not even worth flying with them, cause you KNOW they are gonna crash.

Default fx5600? The devil in disguise?

While I agree that the game is monstrously killer goddamn baboon bloody great, the fact that it only runs perfectly when played on LAN makes it sub-par. Especially when it has been promoted as a great online game.
With regards to the sound/fx5600 issue, I can't really figure out why that would help, unless you have onboard sound. Onboard sound takes up an improportionate amount of porcessing time, so I tihnk that buying a better sound card would improve it more. I have onboard myself, and with games that are sound-heavy, like BF:V (all the doppler effects and area-oriented sound), it can kill your framerate. I am able to get a really nice framerate when playing on lan, or even while hosting with some twenty-odd bots, even though I have an Athlon, which are somewhat lousy at heavy processing. The fps and lag issues relate to online play only. I can have a ping at around 35-50 and still experience heavy lag when some high ping whiner gets close. And, yes, the choppers are cool and awesome and superfantastic, but if they aren't worth the bother because of some high ping shitcake, they're not worth the bother at all.

Another day in paradise.

ok so you have a 50pound machine gun + 3 clips. 5 LAWS (dont know how much they way). 1 pistol + 4 clips. 1 knife. i dont see how your average GI Joe is able to run with all that crap.
With the way the 1.01 patch works you have:

KA-Bar (knife): Approx 1 lb (0.5 kg)
M1911 Pistol: 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg)
3 clips: approx 2 lbs (about 1 kg)*
M-14 (Full magazine and sling) 11.0 lbs (5.0 kilograms)
4 extra clips: 9.2 lbs (2 kg)
L.A.W. (5): 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg)
Binoculars: About 1.5 lbs (about 0.7 kg)**

* Estimated on average weight of .45 caliber ball rounds.
** Estimated based on era-made Bushnell binoculars.

So - the grand total?
32.6 lbs (14.8 kg)

Not that much really...
