i really think that ea need to get it together!, in the game, if you comfigutre your keys, you will see a key for opening and closing ramps for vehicles, so on what vehicle can you do this on, and secondly the landing strip pad on the large boat, you need to be a flying genius, not to mention that you cant land planes. come on EA!!!
ok well firstly, the "big boat" has a shutter on the front i think it may be a WIP dice didnt get finished in time with the release.
andsecondly, must brag about how great i am at transporting troops in a transportation huey... heh
and lastly, i don't think the idea is to land a plane on that boat.. if that was what you were thinking.
you can land planes though, you just have to know how to do it!
btw, if you want to be able to land a chopper on that boat, i suggest you make a server on your own and practice like hell.
Tango. That boat has a damned name. Can we all start using it?
The ramp is quite possibly a WIP to be fixed with a patch. The real Tango would flop that door down to let out troops or a Jeep. There was probably a collision issue they didn't get to resolve before release.
That landing pad is for helicopters. If you can't land on it, practice.
If you can't land a plane, again, practice. Fire up Operation Flaming Dart and take the F-4 for a spin. Lay off the throttle as you approach, and nose up slightly before you touch down. When you do touch down, throttle down... even hit reverse.
Of course it all depends on how you fly your planes... Mouse/KB - can't fly or land for crap. Joystick - I can perform well enough.
for my flying i would use the keyboard only. the part about using the tango as a trasport would be cool and i dont thing you are supposed to land on the tango

The Tango is a repair/re-arm pad. It's tricky but it can be done.
Foxtrot is right. You can land on the pad on top of the Tango with a helo... as a matter of fact, you can land on it with TWO helos. Saw a video once about a month back that showcased a couple of guys doing stunts with two Cobras landing on a Tango which itself was suspended underneath a Huey... all done midair. Pretty impressive stuff.
Landing a plane on it? Well, since you could land a plane on a sub in BF1942, with some practice, patience, and a need to do it, I'd bet you can land a jet on a Tango too.
So not impressive: P4 2.4GHz 533FSB / 1gb PC3200 / FX5700 / Audigy / 80gb EIDE HDD / WinXP sp2

I've actually seen that done many times, quite impressive actually. It's like the video that was floating around where the guy done a flip, landed the plane, grabbed the flag, jumped back into the plane took off & done the same thing back at his own base to take the point for the capture.
Pull your pants up, and turn your hat around. You look like an idiot.
