Battlefield:Modern Combat Not sure if everyone caught that EA announced "Battlefield: Modern Combat" is coming out for the PS2. For a PS2 game it looks... ok/decent. http://www.eagames.com/official/batt...=modern_combat My biggest unfounded gripe - other than FPS-on-consoles - is the use of ranks. I say unfounded because a) the screenshot is probably some beta and b) I have no idea what the ranks really "mean" in so far as the game is concerned. I really, really really wish they'd make that a function of BFV. Check this BF:MC screenshot. You'll see the rank chevrons, leaf and stars next to players' names. http://images.ea.com/eagames/officia...c_03_large.jpg |
Re: Battlefield:Modern Combat i dont have a ps2 and plus max players is 24. dc will be in bfV annyways. (i hope) |
Re: Battlefield:Modern Combat From what I understand, the ranking system for this game is going to work a lot like the stats tracking sites currently out there for various games (like UT's Stat site). Instead of rewarding the player with an arbitrary number, the stat tracker translates all your kills, flag caps, and what-not into a rank that will show up next to your name. I am assuming said rank carries over from one map to the next and from one session to the next, unlike Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory which was based on a single session. |
Re: Battlefield:Modern Combat Sorry for the double-post, but I seriously wonder if we'll actually see Desert Combat for BF:V. I have a feeling that DICE and EA have other plans (new game) for Trauma Studios. Anyone else know more about this? |
