They give charlie every anti personnel weapon since the dark ages and gi's cant have toe poppers?
What about tripwire boobytraps?
Having charlie place 9 sticks of dynamite on a tank is a tad obvious.

And the guy who thought of giving a blowtorch to the engineer should be fired.

Its the most worthless item i've ever seen.

You are right - VC "booby traps" are a tad too obvious. The original press release stated that the booby trapped vehicles wouldn't show any sign of danger except some small sparks shooting out of the bottom. They made it sound as though you needed to physically check under the vehicle to see if it had been tampered with.

I wouldn't quite say the blowtorch is "worthless"... it just takes a whole lot of sneaking around to use. Sneaking around - which should be the strategy of the VC. I've only had a few kills with the torch and they were pretty tough to get. Worthless? No. Annoying? Of course.
