[Patch] Pre-Requisites for patch v1.5 ???

I am reinstalling my BF2 game after a long absence from the game, and I see that EA has released a new patch.

Is this an increment patch or will this bring a new install up to date????

As quoted from the EA blog, "You will need Battlefield 2 updated to v1.41 before you can install this update." Only then can you continue on with the v1.50 patch.

Thank you for the heads up.

I guess I missed the specifics on their website. I looked at the official BF2 website, and not only did it not state any specifics about the v1.5 patch but it was still showing "get the patch v1.41" announcements, as if that is the one that had just been released. I wonder if I was looking at an old EA website or something. Very frustrating. This is the website I was directed to from EA's Gaming Pages: http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2/

As for the patch though, I recommend you get it from filefront since the ones posted on that site were way too slow to download 1.92 GB.

It's a patch, but a very good one indeed.

There are several major changes and such that you should know about:

1) There is now additional support for Windows Vista

2) Euro Force and Armored Fury expansion packs are now free and are included in the update

3) Going prone now briefly reduces your accuracy- that means the days of prone-hopping are possibly over

and

5) In case you're into it, the new version of Forgotten Hope 2 requires the 1.5 patch
