will this pc run bf2 on high w/ good frames??
Athlon X2 3800+ (2 GHZ)
OCZ Gold 2x 512 mb ram
evga GeForce 7600 gt GDDR3 256mb
and an 80 gig hd(yes small i know)
im not sure, but i can get around 60FPS on alll high settings with a 7900GS (256mb), a core 2 duo 2.6ghz, and 2gb ram.... so probably yours wouldnt run that well
I run battlefield 2 on the HIGHEST settings it will go to, the resolution is at max along with all other settings, and the sound is at maximum quality, it never lags.
Did you mean 512 megs of ram in 2 times 256 dimms or 2 times 512 dimms totaling 1 gig? I would recommend you get that upgraded to 2 gigs, I noticed a huge performance upgrade after that, also a sound card is a good idea, anything to get it off the motherboard and onto a pci card, less work for the processor.
yeah i meant 2 512 dimms.
and yes 2 gigs is nice, but for a budget pc, i will have to upgrade later
also a sound card is nice, but so is a cheap pc.
so later on down the road, i will get 2 gigs and a sound card.
im thinkin ill upgrade 512 mb at a time.
good idea??
Best to do all the upgrades at the same time, or if u cant afford it get the upgrade to 2 gigs first, it will increase your performance the most.
i can only afford 1 gig to start.
i will just put off buying bf2 until i have at least 1.5 gigs
if i could i would get 4 gigs,(although it would only show as like 3.75)
but i will only be working with like $400-$450 max.
that even discludes a harddrive and dvd drive.
lucky i already have those
2 gigs will be just fine, you won't use more then that. So go for the 2 gigs. So are you building a new computer, or upgrading an existing one?
building new, but it will be awhile, like after christmas.
thats why its a budget pc.
cant get enough$$$$$
so im going to build a decent pc that can play games for cheap.
i can post specs and prices if you want.
POWMAX black/silver 4 window case-$30(w/ psu, gonna have to upgrade )
Biostar nForce Ultra Am2- $65.99
EVGA GeForce 256 ddr3-$90.00
AMD Athlon x2 2 ghz-$70
OCZ Gold 2x512 mb-$47
Rosewill RCX-Z3 heatsink-$40(not needed but helps)
Artic Silver ceramique thermal compound-$5
120 mm fan w/leds(once again not needed but looks cool)-$4
i think its decent priced for the power.
total=$380
