Default Armored Fury Scare..

I decided to get the pack ASAP after the release.I made my payment to EA and started my download with EA downloader.Once i had the game downloaded i installed it and applied the 1.3 patch just for safe measure.Everything seemed ok untill i get ingame and try to join a Armored Fury server.I got an error message telling me that if i wanted to join/start a server that i would first have to visit EA and buy the Armored Fury pack.

WTF!!! There is no fucking way that this goddam game is telling me that i need to buy it again after i just spent the 9.99 on it.

I looked around EA site for a 1800 nuber with no luck.WOW talk about sucking balls. The only option i had to tell them the probnlem i was having was to send them an email to support and wait for a reply(24 hours)..So i sumit my ticket and wait for a reply.

After about 24 hours i recieved my email from EA..They let my noob ass know that i had puchased the "Booster Pack" under a differnt EA account name and that the server donot realize that it was me
i started the process of changing my account over to my main account with EA that has my Euro Pack and Special forces on it.After about an hour of tring to get BF2 all ogether i just gave up.I just couldnt get all my account listed as one.

So the bottom line is that after all of that i finally just had to make a new GameSpy account and then add my Armored Fury "Booster Pack" to that account. So now i can play the game perfectly but have no rank what so ever on that account

As far as gameplay the Armored Fury "Booster Pack" offers, Well i have to say thyere is nothing better thatn new maps! After playing all three maps i have to say it is GREAT. I just love the maps and and the gameplay that we on each of them.I still havenot been able to try out all of the new cars,tanks,ect..but i am looking very forward to getting back ingame!

Moral of the story is to:
MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE BF2 ARMORD FURY "Booster Pack" UNDER YOUR MAIN BF2 ACCOUNT..DUH!

Well Dirty South

I think you could of solved alot of your problem If you had read the
Armoured Fury Manual, accessable from within the EA DownLoader.
It explains that AF should only be installed after the Patch 1.3 has been installed.

So the moral here is , read the instructions.

As for changing booster pack privilges to a different
bf/gamespy account, thats no problem, I've already done it 2 or 3 times.
Now I have all my packs and updates on the same bf account.

This EA page explains how to change booster privelages
to a different bf/gs account.

http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...&p_faqid=11632

I have found some times the web pages wont load, but I just kept trying 3 or 4 times then the page loaded, I guess maybe the server is busy or close to being overloaded.

I think the moral of the story is "EA rushes everything out half finished and without bug testing, so don't buy their crappy booster packs, download some free mods instead"

Up the workers! Down McDonalds!

No not at all , it's a case of RTFM.

Or also a case of dont install patches released BEFORE the expansion pack was.
