A question about BF2
 

Is it just a multiplayer game or is there a single player game as well?
I have no experience at MP with shooters so I would just want the SP section.

there's singeplayer and multiplayer... But don't buy it for the SP, it sucks big time...

You get both, but the MP section is by far the best. It doesnt matter if you have no experience with shooters, you'll get better. The SP is all the 16 player versions of the maps, the MP is 16, 32 and even 64 players. Playing with humans is much more fun, even if you suck.

Liking single player is a matter of opinion...

I like singleplayer, there are no idiots killing you for vehicles..

Yes but you have idiot bots that do not know how to drive. So I end up killing them.

Here are the two things I recommend you check/want before buying it: You want it for the online, multiplayer action. And your comp can handle it; If not, you will only be kicking your tower over and over again.

That's by far enough, I myself am using 2 gigs and it runs fine. Though I'm limited to a low-end graphics card, unlike you. But after you balance out all the video options, it's fine. :nodding:

If you want a single player game, do NOT buy BF2. Buy FEAR or HL2 (you probably already have them though).

BF2 is primarily a MP game, SP was tacked on as an afterthought, so I reiterate: Looking for SP? Look somewhere else!

Well... there is no multiplayer mode for HL2, but there is for the games that run off of the same engine. :cool:

Well... he didn't state the word deathmatch so I made the assumption that he was referring to the single-player/scenario version of Half Life 2.

Sorry don't know all the MP jargon. Multiplayer is the mode where you play against other people over a Lan or the net. It's all the same to me! When I think of Deathmatch I just think of a very violent game of tennis or something.

The deathmatch version of HL2 is multiplayer using the HL2 scenario version weapons... you can either shoot ppl or pick up stuff with the gravity gun and, well... you know.
