A Great BF2 Idea

Imagine this, you have 32 - 64 people on your team, u are holding a base with Artillery / tanks / apc's / turrets / Jets / helicopters / and a whole lot of your infantry brothers... Then in the distance on the hill you start to see these Large creatures about the size of an apartment building just start making there way to your base... and those large creatures drop little ones which run toward you and slash you to kill you..

There are around 10 of the large apartment size creatures just slowly crawling to you spraying machinegun fire at your base blowing up tanks and helo's etc.. Then your whole team of 64 people start firing the machines guns, turrets, cannons, tanks, heli missles, apc shells, back at the creatures trying to kill them, it takes a BARRAGE of shells and bullets just to take down one of those creatures, but once the one is gone another fills in its place..

Your infantry are on a field holding the line, reloading, firing, reloading firing, moving back, firing, and your commander is constantly dropping supplies... slowly your team moves back to base as the numbers of creatures are starting to overwhelm...

But then then after 10 minutes of holding your base the creatures stop respawning, and you finish the rest off... it goes quiet.. and then boom

a menu screen pops up saying "YOU WIN, You held off the invasion"

Moreless a cool mod would be us VS bots that dont use weapons, they just swarm, and we have to hold the base for a certain amount of time... but the large creatures that are huge use a machinegun type weapon that sprays the area ur at...

It would be cool hearing 5 tanks fire, seeing bombs being dropped from jets, and seeing missles fly over as heli's fire, seeing 30 of your team members in a line firing there guns..

But to make a mod like this u need some good modeling skills, animation skills, and good coding skills...

Anyone think this would be pretty cool? It probably cannot be done...

why does everyone bitch about lag? it does sound like a cool mod, make it single player to tho, it would be better if there was a little more moving around to it instead of holding a line at the base

Only sounds like a s**t load of lag if you have yourself a Crap Comp.. lol

Yeah, thats an obbvious one there, lag, Maybe this should be more like a Game... but made with a better engine that is capable of handling so much without giving out...

This game style has been used in other games, Unreal Tournament for example, and yes it does have possibilites, would be interesting to attempt.
