Commander mode isn't always that great. I am not thrilled at the lack of skill that most commanders have, tking with artillery, not giving orders, etc... When it does work, it takes NO skill whatsoever to launch artillery. I prefer the old BF2 version of artillery. Maybe if the commander had to have someone spot the area first it would be better. If you had actually read my original post, i mentioned the lack of mods for consoles. The sniper rifle is a joke. It is a long range weapon that doesn't work at long ranges. It is horribly innacurate at long ranges. With the current scope, spec ops rifles can snipe as well as snipers. The crosshairs are also too thick, at long ranges it covers up the entire body or head of the enemy. The expansion pack looks as lame as can be. Zip wires to get you 'quickly across the battlefield'? How about a freakin jetpack for added realism?Honestly, they need to fix the broken game before they give us a lame ass expansion pack. Did anyone actually play the two for BF1942 longer than one week? Funny how you call the laser designater from BF2:MC 'mine' and the artillery from BF2 'yours'. One thing that I am sure that everyone who plays BF2 would like is more gaming modes. BF2: MC has conquest, ctf, deathmatch, and at least one 'unannounced mode'. BF2 is limited to conquest only. So lame! I don't prefer one over the other, all my post is about is wishing that some of the features from BF2:MC were in BF2. |
Re: No love for PC owners of BF2 BF2 Pros Over BF:MC Better graphics Mods, Add-ons More players MC over BF2 Some new gadgets (Thermals, laser design etc) New Gaming modes ( Look at all the people who played other gamemodes in BFV,BF1942!!!) Single-player A different nation Well lets see...new gadgets can be added in by mods.... Single player? With AI as bad as it is, Single player won't be praised for long. Oooh, a new nation...again...mods. |

Lately though it seems that GameCenter.com servers have gone bad, or maybe I've just had bad luck. But the lag is so bad that people move in two second bursts and sometimes I get 'There is a problem with your connection' every five seconds give or take several seconds! When the server exploit was dished out, and then after that being fixed I guess, it seemed this was happening on every server I tried, either Zboard or GameCenter.com's. Right now for some reason it just seems to be with GameCenter.com's. Quote:
plzdie: :moon: I have stated this already in another thread or two... I play on servers that host 64 people and use 64 player sized maps. I have no lag issues on good servers! Whether you choose to beleive me or not is your perogative, and I understand if you choose not to. I didn't believe the fellow that says his friend runs BF2 on a 700 MHz PIII with 128 MB's of RAM. But the guy stuck to his guns, and perhaps he is not lying. But I find that pretty incredible to believe though and you may feel the same way about my claim. Fine. But see my emoticons above! System Specs: Intel 3.4C(C = Northwood Core) on Asus P4C800-E Deluxe(Intel 875P + ICH5R Chipset), Zalman 7000a-Cu HS/Fan, Enermax RG651P-VE 550W PSU, 1 GB Mushkin High Performance(2-2-2) PC3200 RAM, NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 21" Monitor, Sapphire Radeon X800 XT PE Videocard with v5.6 Catalyst Drivers, DirectX 9.0c, Creative Audigy2 Platinum Soundcard with Creative OpenAL Beta Driver, 250 GB w/8 MB Cache Western Digital HDD, WinXP Pro SP2 |
Re: No love for PC owners of BF2 Wow, now just wow. That line "a new nation" caught my eye so I decided to check out the info page......wow. Lookie here NATO, please, NATO, youre serious? Theres no nato just the glorious USA again. As for China and US duking it out for oil in Kazakhstan.....well now. Who let them both into Kazakhstan in the first place, and secondly, if China invaded Kazakhstan, wouldnt Russia be in the SOMEWHERE? I mean they share like a 3000 mile border...as for features meh i dont really care i have the PC one and I'm fine, plus I think that the scan thing for commander is BS enough as far as realism goes, so adding soekind of "thermal detection" for individuals, is just way over the top for me. |
Re: No love for PC owners of BF2 P.S. One thing that is probably helping me out is that my motherboard's onboard Ethernet(NIC) card has it's own dedicated bus. - ICH5R - Therefore it doesn't not take up clock cycles on the PCI bus which cause lag due to high network traffic on the bus. If you use a addon PCI NIC or your motherboard does not have such an implementation of the onboard NIC then that is probably why you expericence lag when playing on the big boy servers. Juz sometin to take in ta conzidration. |
Re: No love for PC owners of BF2 Yeah I use onboard Ethernet NIC in my motherboard too and I've never had any problems with lag. No commander is fairly shit too. Neither will you get FH2 therefore I win. |
