I liked iD softwares philosophy of "Its ready when its ready"
When they use this philosophy, people start bitching that it isn't out yet, and then when they release sooner, wonder why its all messed up, buggy, and in serious need of patches. People get far too excited and start bitching that the companies are being stupid for having the audacity to make a game... BETTER!
Let the companies do their thing. They'll get to it when they get to it. They know what they are doing, we as people do not.
I personally enjoyed the new patch. It has actually smoothened out the gameplay, it seems. Its great!

You actually have no clue what you are talking about. We as people do not?
some of us have been around these games for YEARS. We as CONSUMERS know exactly what they are doing. Some of us more involved with the gaming industry understand what they are doing before they do.
My clan and provider knew what happened with the patch the same day EA figured it out. and that was THE day it was released.
You obvioulsy don't understand also, that, there are two patched. not just one.
The client side patch which you have, is the one that did an ok job ..it smoothed it out a little and made it run a bit better but bollocked the browser.
The Serverside patch is the one that had an issue. It has a memory leak. Which caused the servers to lag and drop connections do to unstable management of ram.
The server patch was recalled and all servers were rolled back, and if they weren't, then they are the ones lagging. The client patch had to be recalled because they will have to fix it.
so hold up, theres 2 patches to DL? cuz i think i DLed the server one and its really fucken me up, cuz before i DLed one of the patches i was runnin the game perfect with ping around 20-30 and never much higher no when im runnin or shootin that shit pops up to 450 ping!!!

Yes 2 patches (always 2 patches, the server admins don't want to install the full game just to run a server LOL), one for the server, one for the client (ie: YOU), the server patch won't work on the client, but the server patch has a memory leak and WILL cause ping to skyrocket, lag and etc, so if that is happening it is because of the server patch on the server you are joining, not the server patch being on your computer.

oooooooooooooooooooooooohhh i gotchya, so the patch i got didnt affect me? omg im still confused? should i uninstall or not??? and if server unisntalls it do i have to too??? man im gonna go play some D3 while i wait for ur post
Yeah unfortunatley my clan had to roll back its server to the retail version because of the massive memory leaks caused by the server patch. So I had to reinstall back to retail version too to be able to play *shakes fist*
You shouldn't need to uninstall Grim no, and the patch you downloaded affects you. When a patch is released, as AK said there are two types, one for you and one for servers. The server patches are causing problems and many servers need to roll back to get it to work. This memory leak doesn't happen with all servers though. As for your ping check your options, see which internet connection is ticked. I know that on Steam if you don't choose the right connection speed it lags up fairly badly in games, so it might be the same problem here. It might be set to T1 or faster box or something. Tick DSL 256k or faster, that might help.
ok well im not gonna need to worry anymore and deal with that shit because i uninsatalled my game and out with the patch, and by god do i not regret a thing, man it runs so great and smooth and everything on high, and still there are tons of servers still runnin on retail. its great
