What weapon did you unlock and why?
 

I was just wonderin what weapon every1 got, i got the medic gun cus u usually need a good medic in your squad, it is sort of hard to use with the scope but u get used to it

Engineer. I play Special Forces about 80% of the time but I see all the other weapons as 'minor' upgrades while the Jackhammer is a HUGE improvement over the pump action shotgun.

I do enjoy playing Engineer but only take the kit when it is needed and that is usually when the base is under attack. With the Jackhammer as U.S./Chinese I can at least keep a 1 to 1 kill ratio going because nobody lives long against that thing at close range. It isn't a huge improvement over the MEC version though.

I think next will be the Assault kit. I love the zoom sights on that kit and I can see myself playing that kit on servers with unlocks over the SF kit.

Support. I like the SAW and the ammo.

I am playing the demo still while my game is in the mail. How do you get the remote detonator to pop up after you plant some C4?

Bah... i reached the rank to unlock it, but it was too late at night (3am), so i quickly clicked "next/unlock/finish/whatever the buttons where". I actually thought that i didn't have a choice (the default was AT's shotgun), and didn't have time to figure it out, so i selected whatever was given :bawl:

Had i known better, i'd choosen the Special Ops weapon, cause the current Spec Ops weapon just blows.

Hmm at what rank do you get a new weapon? And how do you unlock it because ive reached the second rank but i still havent seen any changes (yes it has updated and it says im vice corporal)

i got promoted to lance corpral ingame (i saw the medal come up ingame which lagged me while i was flying:P)
so i thought yay now i can have me sa-80 clone, just logged back on six hours later and im still the rank under but have a score of 1120?

not happy :(

CAnt even play on a Ranked server bacause of the dame Lag move 5 steps an them lag back 3 only moving to let alone trying to fire.

I have not got any yet, I would like the PKM MG and the assult guy alt weapon. They should have some variation. The Mec would have the Pk as an alt and the US would have the M60. Different alt weapons would rule.

What?! The USMC and MEC Spec Ops weapons kicks ass. Just switch the weapon to single fire and it becomes INCREDIBLY accurate.

The unlocked one is supposed to be the most accurate assault rifle in the game but is has iron sites and that is pretty weak compared to the red dot sites.

You might want to read the forums a bit. It's been mentioned numerous times that the ranks/points/awards aren't instantaneously updated. Sometimes it takes up to a day.


Back to topic.... If I ever get enough time on ranked servers, I'll unlock the Medic weapon since that's the class I play 90% of the time. I've been able to play ranked servers without lag at 2am (why am I awake?) since the global server demand is only at about 75%.

I havent unlocked any weapons yet.
If you unlock them, can you use them on ranked servers, againts others who havent unlocked them yet?
If so I can pick them up from dead soldiers.

Yes you can use unlocked weapons against other who haven't unlocked them on ranked servers, and yes if a higher ranking team mate or enemy dies, you can steal his unlocked weapon! :)

Only the kit. So keep an eye out for where they die! My friend lost his G3 to the other team and started to get killed by it, he was getting pissed haha.

edit: l85a1 for me, mostly due it being so accurate and being able to pack quite a punch, along with a scope! all that + the ability to rack up points from heals/revives and healing yourself really makes it awesome!

I unlocked the G3. It's definately a huge improvement over the M16A2 and it's also somewhat better than the AK101 and AK47.

I chose the G3 because I like to attack medium range and for that it's the best weapon available. Also, I thought it was the most superior over the standardkit weapon, compared to the other unlockables. Next unlock will be the G36C, but that's going to take a while. :)

When I get around to friggin playing the game when it works for me I will unlock the M501270BMG. .50 BMG Sniper rifle in other words.

Well, I unlocked the medic weapon, becasue I usually play as a medic, and with the scope it can almost be used as a sniper rifle (trust me :naughty: ). Next, I'm planning on unlocking the anti-tank semi-auto shotgun because I love the S12K so much, and it has a larger magazine, and because I always get screwed over in close range combat while I'm anti-tank. After that, I'm thinking sniper (so I can have a fun toy), Support, SF, Assault, and finally engineer (If I ever get there).

Yeah, I unlocked the L85A1 too, and I've been taking out snipers from long range with it. Besides, I've been playing medic since I started the game, so even if the alternate medic gun totally sucked I'd probably still get it.

When this happens it is usually rank server delay. Have to wait awhile and when you log back in it will pop up saying you gained rank and allow you to unlock a weapon.

hmmmm i was never awarded any medal.... Or even told I went up in rank see in jsut a Private with 650 points and it says my progress towards next rank is at full but I was never told I had gone up or anything. What score do you need to go up 1 rank?

whenever that happens to me it shows that i gained a rank as soon as i get a kill in a server

I was stuck on either unlocking the Medic gun, Spec Ops, or Assault. I went with the Spec Ops gun and it's an improvement, next is either Medic or Engineer.

I got the new sinper rifle(m95). Its ok, you need to aim up a bit though since the bullet's dip. Its decent, I would have been better off with the L85, but the ak and m16 are ok.

I'm almost always a medic, so that's what I upgraded this morning. I recall liking it alot back when we were playing the "hacked" demo. (you can still hack your SP mode to test out guns if you're unsure which to choose from)

Now, in a few months I might have enough points to upgrade another, at which time I think I'll get the sniper rifle, since it seems to be the gun most in need of an upgrade, and I doubt I'll ever get enough points for a third choice later. By then, I'll probably be playing a mod anyways...

Press 3 again, and it will switch fire modes.

its good, I took a kit off of a dead person and played with it. It is not as accurate as the m249, but it is powerful. If you like to be in close then take the PK, you will own with it.

I wish they would let the ranks go quicker, some of us won't be playing it forever, we will move on to FH2 and other mods.

because of the extremely large amount of points to get ranks i think im not gonna be playing on ranked servers as much since i already have the jackhammer and all i need is the pkm cause all i ever play is engineer or support. sometimes im the only support or engineer on a full 32 plyer surver.

After some debating, I went ahead and unlocked the Assualt Class - G3. Its pretty accurate, But you give up the 203.

I chose the L85A1 since I only really play Medic and Spec Ops. After this, I'd probably go for the Engineer just because the US/Chinese shotguns suck in comparison to the Saiga. Otherwise, I just pick up dead people's kits.

I chose the L85 but it seems like the AK-101 is better than it hmmm. ANyways Yea I went with medic next will be sniper. And yes they should tone down the amount of points needed for an upgrade. Like said some people cant just play the game all the time some people can only play sporadically and for them they will hardly ever reach a new level.

HK G3A3 --- Its one of the only .30Cal assault rifles still around. Plus it sounds awsome. The guys I play with call it the ' MEAT CHOPPER ' .... nuff said.

i like the G36c thats what i unlocked i find its got more power than the M4 and its still pretty acurate even on full auto

Yes it works on ranked servers and no I dont play 24/7, I have 1300 points, and yes every aftermarket gun is available whenever I want it.

I really like the new medic gun because its accurate and can shoot full auto. The sight helps a lot too.
