Beleive me I get the head most of the times. I am just aptient and dont take a shot until I feel that I can hit with certanty. That doesnt mean all of the time I hit but 75% of the time I get the head. I just want a more accurate sniper rifle when I play MEC and PLA becasue the slope on those things is horrific!

Yeah, sometimes I feel I need to be so close with the shotguns that I could just pull out my knife instead. :lol:

I find myself performing a prisnt directly toward my enemy when I have a shotgun. They are probably best in close range combat maps. Otherwise I just pull out my pistol which is surprisingly accurate and powerful. I like to snipe snipers with em ;)

I unlocked the L8. I thought it was a really good gun because I heard good things about the real gun and how it fired. I just assumed it would be close to the game. I was wrong. I would much rather have a ak101 in combat than that. The real gun is 10X more accurete than the pos they put in this game. Its only good when its in semi and that sucks for being upclose. I hear good things about the g3 and the g36c I am probably going to get one of those.

it was quite funny actually. a moron would take our only blackhawk and sit in the repair zone. my squad used the blackhawk alot to get around and assault outposts. no one could get him out. he would just fly away if we tried to kill him. so i got promoted a few minutes later. i chose the m95 and came back and blew the guys brains out through the bullet proof glass. of course we won the match with lotsa points after that.

I unlocked the L85A1 because i play as a medic the most and it is a hughe improvement over the M16.

yeah but its a MASSIVE improvement on the m16, and thats for 2 big reasons

1. The 3 round burst mode :bawl:

I unlocked the Barett sniper rifle because I am a great sniper in the BF series, and I can shoot pilots and drivers of all vehicles except (APC's) out of their vehicles. Usually with 2 shots.

Hear hear....I know a guy who was in the TA - he said the original was not much cop - but the Mk2 is much much better...

Unfortunately I unlocked the Assault upgrade - I was promoted quite early on (had the game from the word go) and hadnt joined this forum so didnt really know any better. I went for it because it seemed like the best all rounder - WRONG!!:mad: Instantly lose the grenade launcher which is a blow :bawl: . If I had known I would've upgraded them medic. But saying that, the upgraded assault is more powerful than the original one.

Depends on the map as to which kit I will use. Open terrain you really need anti-tank cos everyone is in a vehicle of some description. For the street fighting sniper (on rooftops of course:naughty: ) or assault/support.

I unlocked the special forces weapon and the support PKM. I love the special forces gun, major improvement over the normal stuff. A lot of people have been telling me that the pkm sucks and im telling you they are wrong. If you single shot with it at medium range that bugger is deadly. Its the most powerful non sniper weapon in the game. Also, according to charts, a single shot from it is more powerful than that of the chinese and mec sniper sniper rifles.

I love that gun =)

does he like being in the TA? that would be my first choice if i cant get the other job i want :) i dont like the G3 because of the 20 round magazine if i'm luck i will get one person per magazine :bawl: unlike the ak w/ gp-30 which ive gotten a lot more out of

I got the L85 - wasn't overly pleased with it. Just heard good things about it (and it's British!) so I unlocked it. Not great, sometimes I use it in place of the other medic guns, sometimes I don't. Maybe the G3 next time... or the PKM. What do you guys think?

May I ask the G36C or M95? Which do you think is a better upgrade? Just to be known im more a sniper than a Spec ops but I do play spec ops. Just wondering which one I would feel a larger improvement in?

He has left the TA - they disbanded his battalion and he has since had kids so never went back to it, but he really did enjoy it at the time - he has got to fire M60/M16, Browning 9mm, GPMG and Uzi on a weapons familiarisation course!! Lucky sod!

If you want to fire guns you would need to join an infantry regiment though.

I just got promoted to Corporal which gave me my second unlock. Since I suck as a Sniper I decided to unlock the M95 to see if I can do anything as a Sniper with it. ;)

i got to fire the all exept the uzi on this course :) it was really fun there was lots of WW2 weapons too which was erm enlightening to actualy find out how much these thing weigh!! guy gave me the enfield and i could hardly hold it up still lol :) is the barret any good onetin?

Heh, I wish I'd chosen the G3 - I picked one up off someone's body, and I found it to be so accurate and powerful. Half the time I didn't even go into aimed mode, I just fired a burst at enemies and they died. Maybe I just had lucky recoil or maybe they were already damaged, but it seemed to me that it kicked ass. Definitely my next choice, but that'll be ages away.

Ive used all the unlocks and i have the g36 and the pkm and the only unlock i have found to be worth anything is the g36.
Accurate. High damage. Great rate of fire. 30 round clip. Its just better than all of the other guns.

I have read though this thread but i still cant see which is the best overall choice.
Which is the best general upgrade? Also can you say if its a medic etc and not all the numbers like g36 cuz i dont know what ure on about.

I agree with you Morgster. I took the G3 (assault) as an upgrade and i found it to be decent. But, when EA was hacked I used all the weapons and i found the Medic and the Spec Ops guns to be the best.

G3 is the best man~~~ i unlocked pkm and G3
but the only thing i hate about the G3 is no grenade luncher~~~ but overall G3 is the best~~~ all i did with the G3 is bust fire it with around 4 - 6 rounds at the target
most of the time i would kill it~~~ and if not i would just fire up the rest and pull out my pistol~~~
and PKM =_=" map it not all that great~~~ it did high DMG but low capcity and Short overheat~~~ which make it suck~~~~
i mean what the point to unlock a gun~~when it dont have that much different~~~ i think unlock gun should be better then all basic gun~~ like given the G3 100 round Mag that would be awesome~~~

Yeah, I'm glad they hacked EA, becasue it gave me a chance to try out all those guns. I would have been mad if they hadn't, too -- I was thinking that I'd unlock the anti-tank gun next, only to find that its not that great at all. I already have themedic gun unlocked (it owns, truly), and from my hour or two on the unlocked servers I'm thinking I'll take either the G3 or the PKM next. The current Secial Ops guns are already accurate enough, in my opinion -- I can eaisily take snipers out with them before they know what hit them.

i recently played ona server where all the guns were unlocked and i used all of them. when i can unlock a weapon the first it'll be the L85. i love it. its powerful, accurate and has a 30 round clip (which the G3 for example lacks). it seems like you can kill anyone, at any distance with minimal effort with the gun. even the scope didn't bother me though a red one would have been much better. my kills didn't really reflect a dramatic improvement but it seemed deadlier.

the G3 is my next choice. its very powerful (seems to take half the rounds to kill someone with it compared to an AK101 or M16) and accurate. burst firing is great. aim at the chest and fire about 6 rounds. the last two usually wind up being headshots making this thing REALLY deadly. but the small clip sucks. i don't really miss the grenade laucher because i had a real love/hate relationship with the thing anyway.

the other upgrades don't seem much of an improvement. the Jackhammer auto-shotgun for the anti-tank guy is great close in but otherwise useless.....kinda like the SMGs. the engineers gun is slightly better and the G36 is not much different than the existing Spec Ops weapons. if you like sniping though the M95 is a must have because it packs plenty of firepower. this means one shot kills when shooting at the average slightly wounded soldier (which everyone always seems to be unless they're a medic). killing chopper pilots is most fun too.

not sure about the PKM though as thats the one weapon i didn't get to use.

I unlocked the L85. Odd how everyone says it's amazing and the M16 sucks, because I've found the opposite is true. On semi the M16 is very powerful at range, and the AK's are also pretty snazzy on semi. Really seems a waste unlocking the L85 now. I still play medic most of the time but I always use the default weapon now.

Unsure if I'll go with the G3 or the PKM myself. I looted a G3 before and it seemed impressive. Shame it takes so long to unlock weapons. I unlocked the first in days, and over a week later I'm still far from the second unlock.

I hate the L85. I thought it would be good, but it's hardly as accurate as the decription makes out. And it's horribly underpowered, and slow fire rate. (Although, once me and another soldier ran towards an enemy medic and they pwned both of us with the L85 so...)

I love the PKM, played with it a few times after picking it up. Smaller clip than the other support guns? Who cares. You never get to the end of a clip. I don't, anyway.

yeah, iv'e used the PKM since my last post and am quite impressed with it. its like carrying around the MGs off the Jeeps. its not all that accurate, but just let loose on a target/targets a good distance off and BANG they're usually dead soon enough. just don't get into a real long distance shooting match with a guy with an assault rifle as you'll wind up overheating before you can kill him which can be bad for your health. i only wish i had unlocked it first.

however, and after using the L85 for a few days i'm still impressed about its accuracy (rarely do i lose a fight against another guy at distance unless he has a sniper or another L85) and versatility. you're right, its no where near as powerful as the AKs. it does seem to be a nice compromise though--better long range accuracy than an AK47, less kick than an AK101 (better full auto accuracy in my opinion), and no damn burst fire. seems pretty good to me.

Looking at the charts... the L85 is less accurate and less powerful than any of the othe rmedic guns.

Also, I have the pkm and it is extremely badass. Unfortunately, its very innacurate so long range battles are totally out of the question. Also, its not very good at close range because it fires really slowly. If you can go prone and stay at medium distance you can rack up kills tho.

I unlocked the L85, just because im english so thats my reason, everybody here talks about how much damage a specific gun does, but what you all fail to grasp is that A GUN IS A GUN they all do the same job regardless of damage. Also whats that Jackhammer like??

The G36C, because I like the SF kit in general and the G36C is superior to the M4 in most respects.

After destroying the enemy's radar, UAV, and artillery, I switch to the assault kit. For this role, the G3 is the only way to go.

In my opinion, the .308 (7.62x51) is the best, most well rounded cartridge of all time. For this reason, and the fact that the Germans make the best guns in the world, the HK G3 is my favorite military rifle of all time, followed closely by the US M-14. :smokin:

when you say Jackhammer do you mean the DAO-12 for the Anti-Tank class or the MK3A1 (i think) of the Engineer class? i only ask because i've heard both guns referred to as the Jackhammer.

Either gun is a good shotgun. They are both full auto and pack a hell of a punch at close range. they're good, but i prefer the MEC shotgun because the semi auto is less likely to leave you ammo-less in the middle of a firefight. however, the Engineer unlock is better than the American and Chinese shotguns and the DA0-12 is far better than the SMGs of the Anti-Tank class so either is a good choice.

I believe Jackhammer = DAO-12.

I just finished a Weapon Chart webscript that shows you how accurate wepaons are at certain ranges. When I finish making it hacker proof I'll post the link. But Right now there are a few things I can tell you flat out.

1.) The L8 blows. Not worth the unlock. It is less accurate than all of the other medic weapons. The only thing is has over them is that is has less recoil. But again, its a lot less accurate.

2.) The m24 rifle is literally 100% more accurate than the other sniper rifles while they are zoomed. If you are stupid and dont know what that means, it means that if you fire any of the other 3 rifles [m95 included] at a target then those rifles would have 50% the chance of the m24 of hitting that target. The m24 is the best sniper rifle int he game.

3.) The g3 is totally not worth the unlock. Its base accuracy is slightly LESS than other assalt weapons. Its only advantages are in damage and recoil where it has slightly less recoil and does a little more damage. Why does the damage not mean anything? it does a damage of 40. Both other assalt weapons do about 35. Any damage over 34 will kill an enemy in 3 hits. So what the hell does 40 get you over the ak-47's 37? Nothing. They both will kill in 3 hits. But with the ak you get more ammo. Go figure.

4.) Looking at the stats... the 4 support guns are almost ALL indentical overall. Where one has a weakness in one area it makes up for it in another.... butif you have to pick a winner... the m249 is the best. It has 900 rpm rate of fire at 25 damage. All of them have the same recoil and accuracy. The pkm, the unlock, has HALF the rate of fire but NOT twice the damage. It only does 45 damage. So with the m249 you are basically getting more bang for your buck. But... just like i already sed... the performance of all of them is very similar. The PKM is just not worth the unlock tho.

5. The best unlock in the game is the g36c. Without a doubt. Its almost the most accurate and has the least recoil by far. The only Special ops weapon more accurate is that of the chinese... but its not at all as stable as the g36c.

I wont comment on the shotguns because... well.. a shotgun is a shotgun. its either automatic or its not. It either has kick or it duznt. They really dont have an accuracy rating.
