This is more of an EA Games complaint. When I ordered BFV, I did so straight from EA Games, and had it in my hands 9 AM on the day it was released. So Logically I figured I'd do the same with BF2, and get the same results. WRONG!!! I just checked my order status thru their website, and it still just says "ordered" And I check my credit card, thinking they just hadn't updated their website. Well they haven't even charged my card yet, which means they still haven't shipped my game. I have friends who pre-ordered their copy from EB Games, and got theirs yesterday. And here I sit, having pre-ordered back on April 5th from the maker of the game, and at the end of the business day on the release date and mine hasn't even been processed. So needless to say I am very F***ING PISSED OFF!!!!! Thanks EA, great customer service, Rotten Bastards.
The demo runs fine on my machine and I only have mid-low end components. Ya'll should check out IGN's guide to prepping your system for BF2 if you're having any issues with running the demo.
The only things that I find wrong with the actual game is that it takes awhile to customize all the controls how you want them and that the server browser is a bit on the buggy side.
My complaint. It has a fatal flaw.
And what is this fatal flaw you say...
Gamespy, in order to play online you have to make an account with them.
For this reason although I enjoyed the demo I will not, at any price, even if it is free, ever own a copy of BF2.
Congratulations morons, because you can't be bothered to make your own code you're going to lose sales. You don't need my email address so that I can play an online game, I didn't need one with UT and I shouldn't need to give you one here either.
I agree 100%! Gamespy is a spyware/addware riddled piece of crap. No way would I create an account with them to play a game. Wouldnt do it for Steam, wont do it for gamespy.

I did the same thing with my mid/high end system, still runs like crap. Also EA tech support is total BS, they have not said one thing I have not tired yet and I haved talked to them for about a week.
A fantastic base for mods, if the editor is actually released that is lol...
Till then even a simple mod that is distributable is a real difficult thing to do.
I am quite sad about the following things myself after picking up the full game..
1. I was looking forward to coop on my lan. This has been made more difficult to do since you can only join an IP. Also, everytime we change the map we have to all reconnect, yucky. At least it was not removed completely or alot of people would have been furious, especially cause we just bought a bunch of copies at once, specifically to play over the lan with bots..
2. I was looking forward to the editor and making mods. This has been delayed now twice, I read as a result of the difficulty in implementing the AI tools. I can only hope it is released as promised at the end of the month, so we can start to get some cool new stuff going on with this game.
3. They decided to focus the game more to the online multiplayer. I usually get irritated with online games because they are full of people who play the game all the time, and its not very much fun if you get spawn camped and pawned all the time. No fps games are usually designed so that people who play all the time and those who play a few hours here and there can jump in a game and actually take each other out equally. The veterans always have major advantages. So after I have said to myself "that wasn't fair at all" more than 3 times, I usually go singleplayer. Im just not interested in dealing with some of the goons online either.
4. I have some minor graphic issues for example, the undergrowth in the game appears to 'grow' out of the ground rather than fade in as it comes into view. It looks very strange lol, but I am willing to accept them because I am sure that its only happening because I have settings turned down for performance.
Overall, I have been looking forward to this game, and I hope that it doesnt die like BFV supposedly has in the mod community. The editor delay has me worried though, but if it is as awsome as it looks. We are all going to be having alot more fun with this game.

Yeah, Ive noticed that as you get closer to sharp changes in the terrain (like the boundary between a cliff and the ground, on the bottom), the ground actually seems to change, like you were using a leveling tool on it in a map editor. It was kind of weird the first time I saw it.
The only real complaint that i have that makes me extreamly pissed off alot is this "punish" system. People can just punish you for accidental TKs and alot of times i have punished someone without knowing. Someone TKs me and i dont even see the message pop up. It's really stupid how this new TK preventor is working out. If there is going to be a TK preventor to make it where you KILL an EMEMY you get points taken away. That is just lame as hell. Take away say 5 points off your total score and if you get -10 points or more on a server THEN you get kick/ban. I got kicked off a server for being good at killing people cause of one person didnt press anything, not page up or page down. They really need to work through these kinks in this new TK preventor. I have lost many rank points because of this factor.
If I click on a particular server, it does not refresh that server and tell me how many players are on it at that moment. I try to join and get the message that the server is full. After dropping me right back to the server browser, then it has updated how many people are on it.
Example: I click on a server that says it has 56/64 players. I do this several times over a period of a couple of minutes. It still shows as having 56 people. I click Join and it says the server is full and now it shows that there are 64 people on it.
This game may have many problems right now with server browser etc.....
but if you remember 1.0 BF1942 server browser sucked. We just need small patches to fix these small pet peeves of ours.
