Thats why I get 60-70 FPS with all settings on high. Saying that it runs like crap on ALL systems is BS.

One of my complaints : grenades can kill tanks.. yeah right. That was possible in WW2 (unless were talking about completely crap tanks), now its even more ridiculous in modern war (omgz!!1 My Abr4mz got pwnz by teh grenadez)

Yes, but this is an Arcade type game and it can help, if you face a tank and your on a roof, just chuck loads of nades and hide behind something, if it wasn't like that, everyone would get in tanks and never come out.

Anti-tank class is there for a reason. Tanks should be fear, these are extremely armored warmachines worth millions, not plastic toys. It is such an athmosphere killer when you see a 68 ton M1a2 getting killed by 10 puny grenades (IRL these wouldn't even scratch the paint). Making tanks immune to grenades won't make them "overpower", it will just force players to use something called "tactics" and call for reinforcements or use the squads AT weapon while taking cover .

I know very well that this game is meant to be arcade, this is why I won't buy it before mods like FH2, Red Crucible and others make their first release, but still I would have liked to a small hint of realism. At least the game will make a fantastic base for mods.

I get 25 to FPS with all settings oh high with a 6800gt OC:wtf: I am not sure what Ea did with the engine, but it is crappy performance at lest on my computer.

Other than that and the fact no one listens to the commander its good.

Wierd that your 6800's FPS count is that lower than mine (I have a X800XT-PE). Especially since its a "nvidia, the way it's meant to be played" game..

Meh, IMO that's mostly just a marketing gimmick, more to do with ensuring compatibility than with frame rate.

^^^

The reason I bought was the price was good($300), it supports Pixel shader 3.0 and the company offers a life time warrenty.

This thing is great in all my other games except Hl2 TDM(that is a CPU hog) and the BF2 demo. I did find I had texture filtering at high so i turned it to medium and got about 30fps but it was slow. Now I have it at low with 2x AA. I am not sure though, it was around 5fps last night but that may have been massive lag:lookaround:.

Gamespy, in order to play online you have to make an account with them.
For this reason although I enjoyed the demo I will not, at any price, even if it is free, ever own a copy of BF2.
Congratulations morons, because you can't be bothered to make your own code you're going to lose sales. You don't need my email address so that I can play an online game, I didn't need one with UT and I shouldn't need to give you one here either.

Agreed, i won't be playing B2 because

A) Though my laptop meets all recommened (not minimum!) specs my grahpics cart is inferior. I use a ATI Mobility Radeon 7500C and the bloody bastards decided to only support the 8000 series and above. Stupid marketing trick, the game could play on a 7500 if they wanted to, perhaps not with all the special effect sbut who cares? Never ever let yourseld be sponsored by a graphicscard produser, money hungry Bastards! http://forums.filefront.com/images/smilies/madx.gif

B) Gayspy, no way i'm ever going to make an account there. Though i silently pray i won't need it for the full BF2 or atleast for unofficial (clan) servers hosting FH2 for BF2. :moon:

C) It doesn't support all characters it should support: normal everyday characters like the ä/ë/ö/ß/ø or not supported. :uhm: We don't all live in the states, there are other countries you know, ever thought of EUropean countries having a good number of "additional" characters? :uhoh:

Good job EA, you just lost an other potential customer.

Are you sure? They don't 'support' Windows 2000, but it runs fine on my machine. The list is only what they know will work.

Its not that bad, they haven't sent me any e-mails and you never have to visit their site...

Thats kind of stupid. Wasn't the part of EA that make it based in Sweden? Or somewhere around there, at least?
