Re: "Official" BF2 complaint Thread This game browser is probably the second worse I have ever seen in my life. No single server refresh, filters don't filter out full games most the time, slow loading, can't manually stop it, can't list by ranked or not ranked, lag display lies horribly, etc. BTW the worst was Quake 3, by far. |
Re: "Official" BF2 complaint Thread Well, I dunno about you kids, but I read somewhere .. either IGN.com or some sort of authentic site (maybe Gamespot?), but they were saying something like even with their highest and best performing system they couldn't play it on all high settings. Even, like someone else said in this post, dual GeForce 6800 OC's. I actually think it was IGN. They have a whole thing on graphics cards and systems and crap. So, yes, it is DICE's fault. |

Re: "Official" BF2 complaint Thread I've patched my game, an now I can't find any more than 5-10 servers with a ping lower than 100! Thats after multiple refreshs! Before the patch every round end in a ranked game it would crash me back to my desktop! That seems to be fixed! Hopefully EA can keep listening to us players, an get this game runnin smooth!:D |
Re: "Official" BF2 complaint Thread Hey all here are my complaints on the game TKING and NO FORGIVENESS For example I was just finished repairing my Heli on Dragon Valley having a grand old time, I take off again, and then some idiot runs into the back of me in his passenger Heli and the whole crew on there punishes me for the TK. You know stuff like this can drive a man mad. I have also had experiences in sniping and laying mines to cover my back like on Mashtuir, however I still get punished when a teammate sees the BIG RED X and decides to run on it and kills himself, and I get punished and then kicked for it. GOD I can only take so much. As for the lag I have no lag except for people who run crappy servers. My specs ASUS A8N -SLI AMD 64 3200 939 pin 1 GIG crucial 33d 1 X nvidia 6800GT PCI-EXPRESS 3mb DSL anyway have with the game, and remember there is a forgive button so if you into the tail end of a heli or try to stand on one when it takes off its your own fault. so forgive. |

Re: "Official" BF2 complaint Thread 1. Yes it runs on windows 2000 perfectly well and don't let anyone else try to convince you otherwise 2. The 6800 isn't that great of a card, the 6800 ultra on the other hand is something worth using. X800, X850 are both great choices from the ati side. 3. I can run BF2 at 1600x 1200x with everything on high and 4xAA(with gamma correct and super transperency) and still get 60fps. So I am no sure how you can say that it runs poorly on every pc (note: I have a 7800gtx :P) 4. On my settings the game looks great, it's like HL2 but the levels are 100times larger, the reason HL2 runs so well is because all the levels were linear had loads of loading times. 5. Buy a better PC and stop whinning! |

(well sorta)... you see the 4200ti simply will not run the game that is why the game shuts down each time, however there is a mod out there (from what I hear) that will disable certain shader effects allowing your card to run BF2, not very well mind you but there is a chance it will run. As for what to buy thats simple get an amd processor get a gig of ram and get a fairly recent video card if on a budget it maybe wise to wait a little since the next gen of budget cards are coming out soon and the 6200 is fairly decent as far as low end products go. What you will need is a good mother board if you plan to spend a lot wait a little and see if crossfire will be better then SLI if you are on a limited budget grab an nforce4 board get an amd 3000+ (venice) buy a gig of ocz value ram and I'd say either wait a little for a new vid card or just get the 6600gt or 800xl or maybe even go down another notch and grab just a 6200 and upgrade a little later. As far as your choice in powersupply go for this system you could grab a 520watt powerstream ocz it would be excessive but it will last with you for a fairly long time until next upgrade however what you should be fine for a time with your basic 350watt power supply again I can't be to specific as I do not know how much you plan to spend |
