i was watching the BF2 gound combat video and it looks fun and all, but did anyone notice the m249(i think) machine gun? if you look closely in slow-mo, the enemy takes 9 shots in the back and neck before he goes down. i think they really need to make the MG more realistic so it isnt so hard to kill ppl with it. anyone agree?
I agree, but it doesnt surprise me. BF2 developers are so proud of their 'arcade' style experience, you can't have anyone die before they've been shot about 20 times.
well the m249saw is a powerful weapon, it wouldnt take too many shots to hit someone when prone and when you hit someone it wouldnt take to many bullets to kill or just knock down someone, maybe 1, 2 or 3
yea he fired a lot more than 9 shots, but the guy got hit 9 times. whenever a round hits an enemy, it makes a white puff in the air (instead of blood) and when u play it frame by frame you can see 9 separate hits before it kills him
There`s something I really don`t like about M249. I`ve noticed that M249 is overheating. And as you mentioned - you need 9 bullets to kill someone, in addition your weapon is overheating.
ok, where was he hit, the game might not be based on hit points like BiA wont be, that means in simple terms that you could shoot someone about 15 times in the hand and they wont get close to dieing, but one lucky shot in the heart and they die streight away
when i saw the video i would have to say he hit him in the leg , arm , foot , backpack ( hopefuly that wont cause damage if your shot in the backpak ) and shoulder.
but i dont think it takes that much to kill someone in bf2 cuz in the hour long bfcon video the guy wiht the m16a2 is shooting his friend to demonstrate the medics special abilities and he shoots him twice in the arm, shoulder area and he goes into " downed " state ... also he shoots his friend again later in the leg then in the chest and he dies
