exclaim More weapons for vehicles

BF2 really needs to have a support for more than two weapons systems per seat per vehicle. The limit of two imposed in BF1942 and BFV is really restricting, especially when it comes to modern warfare.

Just some examples of vehicles needing more than two weapons:

- T-90: Gunner fires the 125mm main gun, an ATGM (through the main gun) and coaxial machinegun.

- BMP-3: Gunner fires the 100mm main gun, an ATGM (through the main gun), a 30mm autocannon and a machinegun.

- F-15 and other aircraft: Pilot fires the machinegun, air-to-air missiles and/or air-to-ground armament. A single seater Hornet could for example carry a load of AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, AGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground missiles and bombs in addition to the machinegun.

Five simultaneous weapons systems may be too much, but you should be able to control at least 3 systems in the same position.

you can have something like the up and down keys to chage between weapons. They did it in POE(ap round and explosive rounds in the tanks and Bradly's)

That only changes the ammunition type, not the weapon. The same thing is for example in FH, but it's merely a workaround. Both munitions use the same "magazine" and have the same reload time which make it unusable for simulating eg. missiles fired through the main gun.

Most every new mouse has at least 3 buttons, and aircraft are better flown with a joystick anyway. They could also use for example arrow keys to change between weapon modes. We already have many different weapons for infantry, I don't see why vehicles shouldn't have too.

I'm not speculating, I'm suggesting/requesting. It would be little late to ask something like that after the game is released, since it is highly unlikely that they would afterwards implement such major changes to the engine.

Too bad. But you still have a keyboard with over 100 keys.

it would not be that hard to make it so you change weapons. They concider the Ap and hett round as 2 diffenert wepons though.

It is impossible with the current engine. BF2 hopefully features a more open code, but it would still be nice to see such feature implemented by default - like that it would be available to all, and not just the leet haxor coders.

Exel a F-15 has two seats not one and an F-18 hornet can be a 2 seater aircraft rather then a one
Also to choose 5 weapons or even three would be complicated especially when u have to concentrate o flying the aircraft
