Also to choose 5 weapons or even three would be complicated especially when u have to concentrate o flying the aircraft | F-14, F-15E and F/A-18D are two-seaters, yes, but single-seaters are a vast majority of even multi-role fighters. F-15 and F/A-18 are too more numerous in their single-seater variants. Having at least three weapons systems controllable per player is not an option if you want to model a modern fighter jet, it is a prerequisite. Otherwise having air-to-ground ordnance would exclude either the gun or air-to-air missiles, which is really not something you'd do on a modern battlefield. Having two weapon groups is adequate for pure air combat (cannon and missiles), but you don't take one of those out if you want to add bombs.
I don't see the complexity with this; you'd only have three triggers instead of two, and every joystick and most mouses have three buttons nowadays. And the rest can use the keyboard, just like they have to anyway if they don't have a joystick. Quote: |

Besides no weapon like this exists in the real world. | What have you been smoking? Every Russian main battle tank since T-62 has wielded an ATGM fired through the main gun. BMP-3 now has the same feature. You need to stop pulling crap out of your arse for facts. Just because the Americans didn't manage to make the system for a smaller gun tube (152mm on M551 Sheridan, M60A2 Patton and MBT70 for Shillelagh) doesn't mean that it would be impossible. |
