Join Date: September 18th, 2002 Rep Power: 0 | Tank garage, undefeatable defense Yesterday, on Iwo Jima, I was hanging out on the tank garage (ok, well, camping), and I held off wave after wave of attackers. With unlimited ammo, I could take potshots at anything in view. The enemy took the flag, and would spawn near me, but I could still take them down easily. Finally, two guys with anti-tank guns managed to dislodge me by taking turns with volleys of grenades and rocket hits. The explosion damage healed as fast as it was delivered, but the blast eventually bounced me off of the pad, and they managed to kill me while I was trying to drive back. I think with better driving, you could hold a tank garage indefinitely. It is sort of fun, but it seems cheap.
Here is an idea for a simple fix:
Make the garage run out of repair energy, the way that the engineer runs out. You get a quick repair as usual, but the garage has to recharge for a longer period before the next repair. |
