Don't count the F-14 out just yet, guys. It was already slated to be phased out back in the 80s I think (possibly the 90s, hard to remember at almost 6am) but retrofits and updating the systems kept them in service up until present day. I was watching a documentary on the F-14 about a month ago and they basically said it's entirely possible lightning could strike twice. Probably won't happen and we'll lose the coolest fighter jet ever, but one can hope.
I guess your question has already been answered, Chavez but what the hay. The F-14's supposed to come out in DC .4. Far as I knew, it was always scheduled for .4, not .36 or .38. Anything you saw during the time those versions were being worked on was just done as a progress update, givin' you a sneak peek at some .4 content.
Is the F14 a moduler built aircraft. I know the Hornet is, thats why it's so easy to upgrade. My boss here at work was in the Navy for 35yrs. He has ginven me some juicy info on the fighter that he worked on.
Shit got to on some runs.
Don't believe the HYPE, or become deluted by the HYPE!!!
btw - WOHOOOOOOO VANTHEM WELCOME BACK MAN!!!! wheres the edit button sig?!
If you mean the one with all the arrows and 'edit's on it, it's lurking about somewhere.. As for being back, my main home is the HL2 forums. <waits for Nukem to flip out> Azzr and I co-manage the Half-LifeFiles and HL2Files sites, but I can't forgot about my old stomping grounds here.
I'm not going to jump on the HL2 trip just yet. I'll wait a while till the hype dies down. That will probly be about a year after it's release. I did the same with BF42.
Anyways......did the tomcat have Pratt&Whittney engines, or General Electric. I was talkin to a buddy last night and we could'nt figure out. I know it was made by Grumman.

I belive the later Tomcats have General Electric like the f-14b and f-14d and the early verions Pratt&Whittney engines f-14A.
I was also at the airshow in Atlantic city yesterday the frist one in a 90 years there and my 105th one a been too.It had a good line up of demos I was really looking forward to the F-14 super Tomcat,F-15 and the b-17.The Thunderbirds were also there but after seeing them so many times its the same thing The f-16 was putting on a good demo about 3mins in it flew away. But 1min after I found out it sucked in a seagal Dumb birds. At the end of the show the f-14 came it did a great demo! And if any of you been to a airshow they have spakers set up too talk to you about the plane and stuff and too tell you what its going to do next. I herd the guy said he would get low to the water and make the water to shoot up in the air like this:
I ran up to the shore line and got my video camera ready he came by and did not do it. I found out there were too many birds in the area. Again the birds mess things up. I had a good time even though I hate the beach. I may try to upload the video i have so you people can see it.
