I need a video car for a Hp Pavilion 513a!! that is the name of my computer, normal video cards won't fit! anyone know what the fuck i'm talking about? |
Is this what you're looking for? Integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics with up to 32MB of dynamic video memory |
um i want alot more than 32mb!!!! i want at least 125mb |
This is all I could find: http://www.intel.com/products/deskto...hics/index.htm |
um yeah thanks dude.......i'm not sure if will work....stupid fucking HP computers! |
I have an HP... An mine works just fine. It's a Pavilion 750n. Does yours have a PCI or AGP slot for the video c-a-r-d? |
i'm not sure, i got a g force card for it adn i tried installing it in one of the slots in the back of computer! and it didn't fit..... i'm no computer wiz soo? i don't know what the tearms are |
Yeah, I don't know much about certain sized vid cards. Where's apocalypse_kid? He's always good at these things. |
I'll go to the HP site look for you....brb. I'm back...you have 2 PCI slot free (unless you've added anything else) so you need a PCI compatible vid card. The one you bought was most likely for an AGP slot. Take the one you have back and get one that fits in the PCI slot. They should have no problem trading you, if it's still new. Hope this helps. |
hey whats the difference between a PCI slot and AGP slot? |
A PCI slot is slower than an AGP slot. They also look a diffrent. The PCI slot has a tab in the middle to help you align the card. I think the PCI slots are also white or off-white. The AGP slots are much faster. There a little longer, and have a place on the end so you can lock the card into the slot. And I think there a burnt orange color. If you need to know the exact speed diffrence, you'll have to ask Apoc. |
dude if this is your comp spec http://www.hp.com/hp-at-home/nz/hppa..._hardware.html then u only have pci slots availible on yours , your graphics are built onto the motherboard . so wot u need is a pci graphics card , + u need to switch ur onboard graphics of in the bios , if you can ? when u fit the new card , a good pci graphics card is going to be hard to find most are agp now . |
You can switch off the on-board video, under the device manager button. If you don't have to, don't mess with the BIOS. |
yep thats the and hopefully it will work!one!!! cheers everyone i'll get one tomorrow!!!! and hopefully i'll see you online! |
