Yeah, Omaha could have been a lot better,
and Kharkov is also like Kursk and Berlin,
once you lose the spawn points, its over.

BOOM

The Men of the Golden Cross shall prevail

Hmm,

I don't really hate any maps. I only have problems with maps where there aren't enough tanks, me loves tanks.

I don't mind El Alamein in DC cause the vehicles are faster, but I think some criticisms about the size of maps are misplaced.

Gazala is not the greatest because it takes too long to cross the huge map
This for instance. There are only 3 flags that matter in Gazala, and they are all close together, hold them and you have won the game, the fourth is just a quick drive in a tank. If you lose all the flags and have to drive from your base - oh well

But maps like El Alamein are great cause they are large enough to allow two tanks to have a one-on-one face off without those damn choppers getting involved every time like Kursk or Kharkov.

Midway I am not keen on, and the main reason being is that the score system sucks for those maps. Good use of the ships is vital so success, yet the captains rarely get any points, and yeah I know it's about the team winning, but it can seem so pointless cruising about the ocean sinking enemy ships for nothing. I usually try to get on the island, but it doesn't have enough tanks!

I have yet to play on Aberdeen, or the new Inshalla Valley DC map, but I like lost village and 73 Easting (actually I started out not liking 73 Easting but after a few games on it and a chance to work out the tactics I now enjoy it!)

So, to sum up, my least liked map is Midway - My most liked is El Alamein, the city maps are OK, just to small, they should be larger with more capture points.

have fun all

Wish I could agree with that, but in my experience, you can't get much of anywhere without a jet or a helicopter spamming you. I often end up in a tank trying to cap flags and I have to go all Solid Snake with it or end up as a scorch mark in the sand. Now, if you've got some decent pilots on your team and they keep the enemy air forces suppressed, then yes, you can get some good tank dueling, especially for that middle-north point.

I'm still at the not liking it point. I tend to do all right on Easting, but it seems like I just get spammed no matter where I go by artillery, tanks, whatever. My team usually can't hold a point to save their lives and I can't bunker down in one of the craters and put up a strong defense since I have to be on the move all the time trying to keep both points. Maybe I just don't like it because tanks have always been buggy for me (lots of problems with shell hit detection, no idea why).

Not really sure what's my least favorite map. For DC Stalingrad is one. What's the desert one with the 6 or somethin' flags (not Battleaxe)- don't like that one because it's a pain in the ass to have to hold all those flags in order to get the tickets to drop and I just don't play well there. On the flip side, I love El Alamein.

I hate Coral Sea,
not enough spawn points,
and without a carrier, its over.
Well that's the point, man. Allies have to defend the Lexington (carrier) at all costs while the Axis are out to sink it, based off the events of the actual battle where the Lexington was critically wounded and had to be abandoned. Since I like shooting down aircraft I love that map. The only problem with it is too many people aren't bright enough to realize you need a group of engineers to stay aboard the ship and keep repairing it. Here's a link with a quick bit of information about the Coral Sea battle http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/e...a/coralsea.htm You should also watch Midway for a cinematic glimpse at how Coral Sea affected the fight at Midway. It's really fascinating stuff and a good movie. The battle at Midway is also definitely worth researching online sometime for the straight historical facts.
