Default MC1942 did?

After I downloaded MC1942 .4 and played it, I wondered did it just improve the audio becuz when i was reading the MC1942 soldier handbook i saw some pretty detailed tanks n' stuff and was wonderign if MC1942 just improves audio, loading screens, and possibly A.I.?

Actually, Merciless added much more then that. First, it added a sharpnel Fx, which makes pieces of tanks fly off when you hit them with a bazooka or with a tank/artillary shell. Second, it made it soo if you shoot a bazooka and hit something, that thing may catch on fire! It also changed some the of the explosion animations, like now when tanks shoot the ground, pieces of dirt fly up. It also added some new voice commands for me.

No, there were no changes made to any AI, except the addition of a Beta singleplayer mode for Operation Aberdeen.

Yes it added new skins. Look at the handbook. There are new skins for planes, tanks, solders, guns. Almost everything.

There were *some* new skins added, and textures revamped (BOB has more snow, for example). These are not meant to replace the map texture packs though, so for the full effect you should have both the map texturepack and V4.0 installed.
