connection problems
 

hello,
in nearly every game i play in bf1942, it works well for a while(a half a game 2 a game)and my ping hangs around 80 or so, and then i get a message that says connection problems detected and i am disconnected from the server. i have a cable connection and not a 56k modem. my computer is also directly connected to the modem and not through a wireless router. does this happen to anyone else? and if not what might my problem be?

I get "Connection problem detected" to but mine lasts for about 6 seconds then im back in the game my ping jumps from around 60 (my normal ping) to around 300-800.

yes well that is something a little different. that happens to me sometimes too but what is bad is when im disconnected. it happens nearly every game:(
