Cant Install BF1942!

Hey,

I bought BF1942 back in November and have had no problems with it up until recently. The other day when I tried to login to a server the damn loading bar stopped moving about 1/3 of the way across. I tried to get onto a few more servers but still nothing worked. So, I decided to uninsntall then reinstall the game again. But when the game was at 12% install, this message popped up:

"Specific component cannot be found in the media. An attempt
was made to access a component that does not exist in the named
media."

Ive tried to install it 10 times already and have contacted EA support a whole crap load of times but it still isnt working. Has this happened to anyone else? Can someone please help me?

is your disk scratched at all? If not see if it's still under warranty.

sounds like your hard drive how old is it

My disc is brand new and Im running off a

Pentium III
512mb of RAM
ATI Radeon 7500
Windows 2000

ok... try copying the disks contents onto your hard drive and run the install from there...
