submarines?
 

the manual has them on the vehicle control list, but i cant find any anywhere. can someone tell me some maps where i can find them? also, i'd really like a nice 'naval battle' type custom map that i could download. does anyone know any and where i can download it? thanks,.....

Guadal Canal and Midway have them in Multiplayer only.

Have a look through BF1942files map archive to find a naval battle map. Im sure there will be one to suit your needs.

midway only has two ships per country when playing on single player, but when you play on multiplayer each country has about 6 ships, including 1 sub

EA never added the needed AI code for the subs, so they are never used in single player games. Dnamro and I have both gotten them to work in single player games, but not very well. Mine will fire on enemy ships, but never dive. Dnamro told me he actually got them to dive by defining as tank vehicle. They dive, but never surface.

Subs on multiplayer ok

those bots spawn in 0.000000000000000000000001 sec
and the first thei take is THe sub :naughty:

you spawn first and after 3 sec the bots spawn
"give em 3 :beer: beers and thei will take half a hour:beer: :lol:

same goes for the Alamein map, the bots go for the B51 bomber first. and if you do manage to get into it first the bots enter and leave repeatedly. :confused: if you look over to your left you will see the passage to gollum and ... huh, a bloody Tommy surfing on the wing, :cya: ' yeeeeeeha!!!' , you can hear just over the roar of the engines. :nodding:

There aren't going to be any more patches, they have moved on to newer games.

By the way, your signature is too large. You can have a maximum of one image with the dimensions of 800 pixels wide, 160 pixels high.
