Default High Pings Lately

Seems like every since the holidays the pings on most servers have increased dramatically. Has anyone else noticed this? I used to be able to find lots of <100 servers, but now everything is usually 100+. And the EA servers are the worst. I always get disconnected from their servers sooner or later. You would think they could at least provide stable servers for their own friggin game. BTW, I have a pretty good cable connection (800 down/200 up)

I wonder if this is a patch problem. Never had the problem until the patch. Didnt see any other such posts. I dont search the whole forum every day. I subscribe to dozens of them.

its basically most peoples isp's are being maxxed out by leeachers on you isp (people using banwidth) and there fore your phooked, as a rules, a DSL isp has to have enough space for 80% of its clients to be on the net at the same time and download at there usuall speed, but say if your isp has , lets make it easy, 100 people on 512/128 dsl, it has to divide its banwidth over everyone, so the more people on, the slower you go.

Btw, about you saying it was the patch, 1.2 fixed most of these problems, try playing again in say febuary in the middle of the day, and you should see your pings back to normal with all though kids back at school

Just think about how bad it will be during summer break. Ouch! Not thinking about it, not thinking about it.
