Default Should I buy this game?

Hi guys,

Im new here, a little about me. Im male, 15 and from UK.

I was thinking of buying Battlefield 1942 because im addicted to the Secret Weapons of WW2 Demo.

So a few questions, is it worth buying? I am aware of Battlefield 2.

How big of a download are the mods for this game? Where can i download them?

How many mods are there?

Is there alot of bugs/lag/cheaters?

Finally Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all .

Hi! im 14... so I guess I can relate to what you might like...
you MUST BUY this game... IT IS AWSOME. There are some bugs and lags if you dont have a good comp. but if u get all the updates you'll be fine.
There are TONS of mods... go to www.filefront.com and look on the left of the screen collum and find bf1942... thats where u can download stuff.
I dont play many mods... only Desert Combat which is about 3/4 a gig of memory. Some are more or less depending on how much is changed.
But overall.... buy this game it is well worth the $20 for it nowadays. (not many cheaters as well if you go on pure/punkbuster servers -find out more when you buy the game and c for urself)

you HAVE to get this game. I have around 5 mods for it and the biggest is Forgotten Hope which is over 1 gig. Most mods are smaller than that. I've been playing this game for 2 years, if that doesnt say that a game can hold someone's attention...i dont know what will.

you will need a decent computer. 1gig of memory. I have a 18gig BF1942 folder (because of mods and patches and other things) so be prepared.

Get bf1942! It is one of the biggest games in the last 5 years. There are over a 100 mod from Desert combat and forgotton hope(devs have foums here) to dice city and Intersate 82. Its about 300mb in patches that make this game run great and adds punkbuster.

I got about 3gb for Bf1942 since all i have is Dc .7 and .8

You can get all the mods, maps, and patches from www.battlefield1942files.com

Here are the best mods I found that are FULL/ TOTAL conversions where very little is the same.

Desert Combat v.8/Final (not DCX thats the extened)
Forgotten Hope .65
BF 1918 v 1.51
Galactic Conquest 0.4
Empires 0.1
Battlefield Pirates Beta 3

Short sum up of each
Desert Combat-Modern Day vs Iraq with awsome airplanes and tanks like the M1Abrams!!
Forgotten Hope- Battlefield 1942 with new sounds items and upgrades for team tactics
BF 1918- World War 1 recreation where weapons arent as good but the airplanes rock for dogfights
Galactic Conquest- Star Wars mod!!!! You can fly X-Wings and all sorts of SW stuff!!!
Empires- Battlefield 1942 with RPG and Strategy game elements. Mix of Age Of Empires and a First Person Shooter....
Battlefield Pirates- Take a guess... go on!......... yes your in the future.... (not) just with awsome boat cannon fights and some of the hardest guns EVER to shoot.... (sorry for all big fans but they did suck tho matched time period)

Last note for you.... Buy the game.... DUH
If i can spend time writing this for you..... oooooo ur Fing buying it
And buy the WW2 Anthology with the expansions Road to Rome and the Secret Weapons in it....!!
Merry Xmas!!!
