Here are the best mods I found that are FULL/ TOTAL conversions where very little is the same.
Desert Combat v.8/Final (not DCX thats the extened)
All good except for this (don't mean DC isn't good, just a minor error).
It should be DC 0.7 full install (no 0.8 exists) followed by DC Final, which is actually a mod of DC 0.7 and requires seperate installation and activation for creating your own games.
Get it but don't forget BF2 is slated for March release (looks good so far so may make it then), but it isn't a huge expense to get BF now and BF2 then.

"In the name of malice, I will bend the enemy to my wicked will!"

also, im trying to join a clan, as i find that people dont do anough teamwork, (one person taking a cargo plane, when it fits 10 etc) and they dont make plans and give support, prehaps you should think about it too, im looking to see if one will accept me
bf1942 is really a great game. well worth the price. the mods are endless for this game. i have about a 4 gig bf folder, and i'm still d/l something. at least 2 times a week i d/l some kind of patch or new skin, or whatever. its whatever you like, desert combat is a great mod to have, dcx .8 is also 1 of my favs. if you want the full enjoyment out of the game you have to have a good internet connection. i have a 3 mb cable, and that is plenty fast. the game comes alive online, after awhile you get sick of playing sp.
