European Boycot
 

Right after being treated like shit by EA and the produces of patches and updates for BF1942 i think it's time for european people to boycot the games, Lets see if out money is as good as the US and Asians.

well for starters after buying BF1942 i find i cannot register my game for tech support as it's US only, great racist attitude..

Next latest patch 1.2 ?? US get it, weeks later Asians get it but wheres the european version ??
tough we aint got one so can wait months for it if it ever arrives.

I dare say when the addon comes out it'll be US only then Asian and if we are lucky after maybe a month or 6 we Europeans might get it..

So get agrip EA cut the racist crap and treat all owners the same.
Just think of the $1000,000's of $ u would lose if the badly treated Europeans did a boycot of the games ???

Actually i did but what does that have to do with the way EA treat european users?? if they ment it for euro pc's to then it would be called US & Euro :) i also tried the US patch when it came out on my euro version and all it did was drop to desktop would'nt allow me to play game....

The way EA go on u would think it's the US that play all the games and european users don't...
fair is fair release for every one or release for no one...

Uninstall BF then manually delete the Battlefield 1942 folder that is left. Now install it and install both patches. That should work.

Fixed it, i uninstalled the bloodpatch and the merciless patch and now it runs ok, still choppy though sometimes and now i am on a msi K7N2 Nforce 2 thus with a xp2200 and 512mb pc2700..
running at 800 x 600 32 85mhz medium settings, must be my geforce 3 ti 200 128mb ddr that can't handle it....:assimilate:

While I sympathise with you OpTikN3Rv I really think you were slightly overboard with the rascist accusation. I don't believe it has anything to do with race, it is purely money. It's the same reason we on Australia - and probably Europe, aren't getting the Xbox online stuff (not that I could give a crap about that). Money rules the world and big business is after the money.

many ppl who installed all versions of the patch had the same problem you were having - and most of them are back up and running after asking for help in the forums.

Money u say, it would be intersting to see just how many people in europe play BF, i think you'll see one or to. To be neglected like this is just plain disgusted, as for the Xbox :) waste of money...

It's only fair to release patches for everyone at once and not just US.

Infact it's probably better not releasing these violent games in the US as they all own gun's. :fistpunch:

I've been using the US patch on my Euro version, as have THOUSANDS OF OTHER EUROS, and it works just fine.

Yeah works here to after uninstalling merciless and reinstalling the merciless 3.6 mod ;)
