Tank crews where afraid to go in to war with them as 1 hit and u fried. They where also very high, making a great target..
The Germans on the other hand had some awsome machines.
Was same as the planes to untill the supermarine spitfire came out, but this was at the end of the war..Till then the me109 was bar far the better,ME110's would be nice to i s'pose..and drop the B17's and get the Lancaster bomber in game.. | You are correct the germans had pretty small main guns on the majority of their tanks for the first 3 years of the war(including the Czech and French tanks they acquired through conquest). 50vm guns were the norm with directly nixing army requests to upgun their tanks. most people only know or think of the Panthers, Tiger, King Tiger etc.  : The number sof these vehicles was very small. The germans built about 6200 Panthers whereas we built over 55,000 Shermans. It is a credit to the quality of the tanks they did have but moreso the quality of the german officers and soldiers that fought with them. |
