Recording game footage...

Anyone out there know of a good program for recording in-game footage? I understand that it's best to record to another PC or something like that...but I don't have that luxury..so just wondering if anyone knew of a good program to record onto the same pc...thanks. :uhm:

Hi FacelessCl0ck,

I have used both Hypercam and Fraps, and have come to the conclusion that it is just a waste of time. On my machine, Athlon XP 2000+, 256Mb DRR, 60 Gb 7200rpm HDD, it drops your ingame framerate to about 5 FPS whenever the recording option was activated. You don't have to record it to another PC actually, with a video out you can record it to a video recorder then use a capture card (about $70US for a basic version) to get it back into your PC.

Hope this helps
