yeah, that thing is supposed to be in your mods folder. it is there so that once you get more mods you can easily switch from the normal version to a mod, and back again by activating the bf1942 one that is alredy there at the moment.:confused:

Little Help Please. In the Battle of the Bulge map, none of the new tank or soldier textures are showing up. Any idea why not? Rest of the mod is working great.

Try uninstalling all of the merciless mod and reinstalling it. I put all 3 mods into my C:/Program files/EA Games/bf1942 folder and everything works great for me.

How the hell do you use you mouse ?

or are you just sitting in a major crappy position ?

I'm having the same problem as SniperWolfen. I did a clean install of BF, then reinstalled the Merc 3.5 mod, and still no snow textures in the Battle of the Bulge Map. I also don't see the Merc 3.5 selection in the custom game menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

I can tell you exactly why the textures aren't showing, because during the install when it asked you what folder to put the textures in it gave you

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\TextureSets\BF1942\Battle_of_the_Bulge

Now chances are you're like me and don't have your game installed in program files so what you probably did was change it to the wrong folder.. My bet is that you picked your game folder instead, if you have a whole bunch of .dds files there then thats what you did.

So install it again but this time make sure you put it in the right place, don't forget to install the texturesets first.

This is a nice mod indeed, only problem is that I have a hard time seeing the new crosshair. Playing on 3rd person around a bunch of teammates is fun too, makes for nice screenshots for sigs and such.

Did anyone use EA's instructions to make a init.con file for Merciless to be switched on/off? When other mods come out, instead of just turning it off were going to have to un-install it and re-install it all the time. I tried but it didnt work.:(
