Display corruption

Hey guys.. I have an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro vid card and I have a p4 2.8 gig system with 512mb ram. I had the catalyst 4.7 drivers before and never had any problem until recently.. I wish I could attach a screenshot of what it looks like, but its basically color corruption and theres like thick/thin bands of red all over the screen.. It got worse too, and today it even did it while I was in windows. Could it be software thats messing up the drivers or is it hardware related? Ive been told that maybe its my vid card overheating. I have a 250watt power supply and I know ati recommends at least 300 but I've never had this problem whatsoever until recently. Any suggestions, advice, etc?? Please help

Oh yea and I just uninstalled the 4.7 drivers (I heard itwas a beta version) and put on 4.5

Ahh.. finally a reply. Well before, it would do it when I was in BF1942. But then it got worse. Now it would do it during startup and into windows.. Right now I just installed my old vid card. Anyway, I tried everything with the radeon.. uninstalled/reinstalled drivers. I even tried going to an older catalyst version, 4.5. Even reformatted becase I thought it might have been software related or a crosslinked .dll messing up the vid card drivers. And they just released the 4.8 catalyst drivers so I even got those, and I still had probs :( Anyway, my last hope is to try a new power supply unit, at least 350 to be sure. But is there any suggestions, advice that anyone can give me? please help!!

I too am getting these issues with a brand new 9700pro and ATI replaced it with a 9800pro and it does the same thing. Si I RMA'd the 9800pro and am currently waiting for the replacement.

I suggest you do the same.
