What good video card thats maybe under $200 I can get to run the game smoothly? Im not talking about maxing out the settings, but enough to run the game fine and take in some of the excellent details. I want to get ready for BF Vietnam

You are not going to get a decent video card for under $200 right now. You may find something that works ok, but it won't bring out the 'excellent details'. If I were you, I would look into an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro (for around $250-$300). These cards will kick ass, and fyi, Battlefield Vietnam will require a more powerful card than BF1942 does to look the same (due to way more details and increased visuals). Do yourself a favor and become an ATI guy, I did. It TRIPLED my 3d mark score from my previous Nvidia G4 4600 ti. Also make sure that you have at least 512 g of ram.
I have both an ati and geforce fx card on diff pc's and i like them both. Just make make sure the card u get has a good clock speed.

I wanna see the ground give way.I wanna watch it all go down.
Watch you flush it all away.
I've had the ati radeon(128mb) 9700/9500pro 1 year, never a prob, never updated anything, running all video, sound, details maxed out, ran nice w 512 ram, game loads faster when i added 512 more,pentium4 2.4mghz,I've heard of probs with radeon 9200.Better wait till you can get at least a 128mb card, maybey $200 will get one now. They're cheaper on the web, search.OuchThat Hurts.

Go BigWyrm, you rock! Like BigWyrm said, get an ATI card, they are the BEST! Not only do they perform better in DirectX 9 games, but the AA (anti-aliasing) and AF (anisotropic-filtering) performance hit is not as big as in nVidorka cards. As you can see, I am quite an ATI fan, but then again there are those like DC2002 and Spidey who are big nVidia fans, so ask them how they like there cards.
it's my first sig, waddya think?

I run the NVidia G4TI-4200 128 meg. For most cases it works good but there are times when there are several people fighting it out, especially when vehicles are present, it gets jerky, but that could be the server. I lost many of fight due to laggy screen. I also run it with an AMD 2500XP and 512meg PC 3700 Ram, Win XP Pro.
