Where's my @#%#* Torch?
 

Hello-

I'm playing AvP Gold, single player mode. I'm at "Collateral Damage", and have gotten to the point where I need my torch to burn thru the floor hatch- BUT, the ammo box that is SUPPOSED to have the torch is empty! So, now I'm screwed! Have I done something wrong, or out of sequence to cause this? Is this a glitch? Is there a patch, or download, or cheat to give myself a torch? I mean, really...how frustrating!:furious:

Lol, at first I thought you were talking about AvP1 Gold and I was thinking "Huh? There's no torch in AvP1!"
If I remember correctly, it's not in any box, but rather on the floor somewhere. Remember that you have to use a hotkey (T is default, I think) to use the torch.

Hello-

Thanks for the reply- and you're right, I meant to say AvP2 Gold. However, there is still no torch laying around, or in the box, or anywhere else. I've toggled my "T" key, but still don't have one.....Unfortunately, without the torch, I'm screwed!

Thanks again for the reply. However, the whole problem IS, the torch is NOT where it should be, according to the walkthrough. I enter the room, and there is an ammo box, which SHOULD contain the torch, but it is empty, and there is no torch laying around, either. As you can guess, this is extremely frustrating, as i can proceed no further until I get a stinking torch.

type this into the chat menu "<cheat> mpbunker" do note this will give u everything. if u want to go thru the door type in "<cheat> mpsixthsense"

well that sucks major ass... you could try reinstalling? you could keep your saved game file so you don't have to go through all the levels again. speakin of torches, i have a question of my own. in dm_alley, you can climb up the ladder that's in the room with the window, and about half way up there's the secret door you can hack at with your knife and open. there's an ammo box inside that has a torch in it. now i could've sworn that i've gotten the torch in the past and actually pulled it out and lit it. but every time i try now, i can't.... was i dreaming or something before? can you pull the torch out and use it?

well as i remember i did actually get the torch, pull it out, and use it. but whenever i try now, i can't, so i'm wondering if i was dreaming or something... by the way, you guys seen the new AvP movie website? you might wanna check it out if not :naughty:

It should be there. At avp2.sierra.com there is the SP update (no the patch) you can install aswell that fixes bugs. Try that and reinstalling 1096 patch.
