FileFront Forums - AvP movie!!!!

Well i for my personal excitement just hope that the Movie will keep the essence of both franchises and that it'll show them in a fashion of not being "so" bad but still being good enough to not ruin both franchises.

Well and a word about the storyline of AvP. Yeah i have to admit that it is certainly not a fantastic one with unpredictable events but please everyone should first of all rethink about the other Alien and Pred movies because their storyline was as fantastatic either but to that time many people around the globe did not had an internet conn (and if a very slow one believe me) and therefore could not talk about movies online and share their thoughts about those movies. You have to keep in mind that people who lived in this time did not bother much about talking so in deep (like you guys do it which i do not want to criticise) and you have to know that the thinking of the whole mankind was a "little bit" different to that of today and they liked to be surprised from good movies therefore those movies even good to such a (well i call it) legendary status (Alien I, Predator I) because about 20 to 30 years in the past people did not take away all the fun of a good movie by taking it into pieces but moreover waited until it was released and then said how they felt about it but today everything is so modern and highly technoological that it is not any prob to get the information you want about thinks (like movies which were to that time a private *Top Secret* ware only meant for certain eyes like the director the casting crew ....)

All i mean with this is today people just have another mentality and thinking of certain thinks and therefore we did not see so much good bleeding edge shocking movies like in the past where one blockbuster followed the other because just think about how many LEGENDARY Movies came out around the 70's, 80' and 90's and compare them with legends that were found in 2000 up to now. You will certainly see a difference if you go a lil bit in deep with this.

THATS the reason why there are not any really good movies from "our" time that can get legendary movies (with exception of LOTR or maybe Harry Potter) like it was in the past.

The whole mankind just has way to high demands on movies (which is bad from my point of view) on games (which is good from my point of view hehe ;) ) et cetera.

Terminator, Star Trek, Star Wars, Alien, Predator, James Bond et cetera... I could go on with some more legendary movies and some of them are still good some of them are not and why are they not considered any more any good because of teh change of the human thinking and their mentality towards such things may as well our arrogance and thats why we will NEVER EVER have anymore any good Legendary decades of film history writing like in the years mentioned above.

If just half of the Fans (whether Die hard or not) would think like they did 20 -30 years ago they would certainly like (to stick back to the topic) AvP and even its Storyline because it would be a revolution of two franchises going hand in hand but thats just how i followed the thinking/mentality of the humanity for 21 years and analyzed it up to now ;).

Like i said above i will let myself surprise of the movie and NOT going in it with already predefined thoughts about >>how it should BE<<

Well iam not flaming anyone with this so do not take it personal i repeat do NOT take it personal it is just what i noticed when i read this whole thread and saw once again like in any other franchise i was in (trust me i was in many very big franchises hehe) it is quite the same with the thinking and awaiting of movies or sequels -- whatever!

I am maybe not eagerly awaiting the movie AvP but i will certainly go in it (because of curiosity which is in everyone of us ;)) and hope that it keeps the atmosphere (like stated above) and essence of both movies and maybe comes along with some new facts that either will puzzle me more about the two franchises or helping me putting some parts together.

I do not know how it is about you all but i for myself think that this movie either will be a normal action movie with some alien races in it we all know as Predator and Aliens (like stated above in some other posts) or it will be a movie that shows how the whole legend of these two (maybe not so
different) legends began and how these two different species are going along when both are in the same movie.

Well with all of this i do not want to doom what the human civilization have achieved but i mean we should sometimes settle back for awhile and not always going onwards and saying: >Well this movie is going to be a big load of bulls**t because its storyline is absolut c**p< which is really disrespectful in front of the whole franchise especially if the person once idolized the whole franchise because of its 1st movie which was very good to that time it was shot. I mean if you dislike a sequel (or a series -- whatever) of a movie you liked then say your opinion but do not say anything beyond your opinion that is related to that sequel or series ... because this is what brings up gossips and rumors about maybe upcoming titles from this franchise and could even destroy the whole franchise if those things aren't handled carefully...

Like i said i gonna see it and will certainly not complain about it until i know it for myself what the movie is about and how it looks (atmosphere/essence) and so forth.
