I just got through 'Trap' Ah it was the coolest, the gigantic group of mariens all in pairs, take the the synth with the speargun, then from there, just jump down and take'em out one by one.
Yeah, that was fun, I wish they had done more levels like that, cause later with the aliens, since they can see you when you are cloaked (which is useless against xenos), then you cant stalk. I like stalking humans, again, they should have done more levels like "Trap".
well i would have to say i think i play more like i think a true pred would(i dont follow all the stuff about them) in terms of mentality.
1 think i dont do is use the tracking weapons I.E. sholder cannon and disk(well i use the sholder cannon but i dont like useing the different vision modes)also i dont use the pistol(can you say spaming weapon)
aliens i hate kill them any way i can (exept the above mentioned)
however when i am hunting humans i tend to only use the combe stick, rist blades, net gun and spear gun.(i hate decloakingwhen fireing)
with humans i tend to follow them for a while (i love to spook them) before i make the final kill(somtimes i decloak as i chop there head off or other body parts, it really scares them.) by the kill chart Ronin-Predator put up i would be a hunter i tend to work solo exept on lan with my friends and then only with one of them.
I say be a fair player (don't sk on purpose) and don't spam all the time (it is very annoying to some people and sometimes takes the fun out of things). When I play pred I usually play as a light pred because I like the spear gun and bombs. For me its not that difficult to kill someone (marine or corp usually) running along and then all of sudden get decapitated by my spear gun. As for sgers, I just don't move . Sometimes they start to shoot everywhere and then they stop and blamo their head is off (It feels great afterwards lol). EMP's are the worst thing that can get you, but then again you have disc so why not use it? Sometimes feel like a noob using disc, but hey fire with fire right?
Yes i'd say as well that a very good player is always a player who plays fair.
Therefore i agree with you MurdererM2 .
But about the thing of being stunned by an emp grenade i have a simple (but not so easy solution[needs quite a good aim though]). Fortunately predator nature (or should i say predator tech hehe ) has equipped the predators SG with a tri-shot ability which can really come in handy because if a marine/corporate stuns you and is about close to midrange (which is most likely the normal human stun range with exception of very good human players which can hit you from a distance with the EMP [but those most likely needs to know the ballistic of this weapon .... well no further detail on this hehe ]) you just need to keep your cursor in the vicinity of his head and you can (in most cases) take of his head before he can respond by changing his grenade loadout or taking another weapon.
But like i said this needs some training and should not be used without a good understanding of using the SG.
Well i even met/knew some people (including me) who shot of the head of a human while stunned with just a single shot of its SG but this really needs a very good aim and training ..... a whole lot of training.
If the Human is hiding behind a wall to change his weapons loadout or another weapon then ........ there are some other tactics certainly some people know but i will not tell everything hehe .

I rarely play as a predator, but as the character/opponent I find bombing and pistol spamming to be hilarious and a telling sign of the predator's skill regardless of what side of the coin I am on. Often times you will see young predators 'shoot at the dark', as they say, because they get paranoid. Pathetic, in other words, and nothing to gloat about (although rather funny). Of course they are there for a reason, and I call that reason 'learning-the-ropes'. I have no problems with discs because they can be a must for amateur predators dealing with a fast alien attacker, they can also be slow to recover and although it takes a learning curve to bypass them, they can be quite easy (from an alien opponent's point of view). I find the use of discs agaisn't non-tracking humans to be pathetic though, but as more often-than-not an alien player, I find it fair. Some pros need to use them at times, but most pros I have met don't have much of a problem gutting someone. It's really quite outstanding to see.
But hey, it's not like anyone can do anything about it, so if I see someone employing those tactics I just roll with it. Even if they sometimes do gloat, hehe.
lol im bloody awful with the disc and i wont think twice about usin it in a jam. as soon as i run out of spears with the spear gun i will lock throw the disc and bomb the side the human was forced to jump to while dodging the disc. (the disc is a distraction and hardly ever hits but when it does i crack up)
I shall regain my powers, and I shall come to them in the night, and my visits shall not be kind
lol sry for the bump but i havent been around for a while,
just readin thru..
i only use disc when im hella close, range is a bit lame and u can get kicked but if ur in their face and you disc them i consider it pretty fair as i could have just combi'ed
