I have a feeling if I post something in the "Problems and Help" forum, I wouldn't get responded to. Armada 2 keeps crashing ingame on me, but it's never at the same moment. Sometimes 30 seconds after I get in, it happens, and other times I can be playing 15 minutes without it crashing. It was after I installed Borg Incursion, but I hadn't been playing for months before, so it was probably happening prior to this (maybe that's why I stopped playing it). The Armada patch doesn't do anything, so I'm lost... the illegal operation is

Chances are that a ship is causing this. Some ships may get built at different times. Also it could be a weapon that a ship uses...and even though the game won't crash after the ship is built... it may crash when the ship tries to fire.

I don't know how many new races are in this Mod of yours. First use one new race with an old stock race until you find out which race is causing it (Note: more then one race can use the same weapon).

Once you track the race(s). Then build one ship and station at a time. Take it through all it's options (firing, special weapons, and commands)until the crash happens or doesn't then move on to the next one.

This is getting very annoying to read time,and time again. I've also answered this at least 30 maybe 40 times, so I'll make this the last time.

The BI2 project (which happens to be my work) has alot of problems with it, several are crashes which will cause the game to drop to desktop and then once restarted will give the typical above error. To counter this I released a 1.06meg patch on the A2files.com site. This should stop the problems caused by the borg destroyer mk2 (duplicated hardpoint caused the crash). There is a further, much smaller patch which should fix a problem that happened with species 8472 (its around 15kbs). Installation is as follows:

Armada main game (obviously)
1.1 update patch for armada itself
BI2 main file (66.6)
1.06meg patch
15 kbs patch
Counterstrike expansion (if downloaded)
Low res texture pack (if desired but not necessary)

It's the Venator class... the game crashes whenever one completes. How do I go about remedying that?
