Specs to Play?

Alright, I love this game.. every part of it is amazing. However, its basically unplayable on my system. Every video option is at its lowest for performance, and I tried my best to optimize everything on my system aimed at performance. It still isn't playable. At the mission where you need to snipe a convoy of enemy troops, up in a water tower, the game was perfect.. I had great FPS, and no lag whatsoever. Once I got back into the city, I had around 8 frames per second, it was horrible.

My specs are here:
Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz
Memory: 510MB RAM
Hard Drive: 249 GB
Video Card: RADEON X300/X550 Series
Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)

Seriously, what do I need to play this game? I'm thinking an extra 512mb stick of RAM, and a new graphics card.

Yeah everything else is fine apart from the RAM and graphics card. At least 1GB of RAM and a graphics card with 512MB video RAM, a nvidia 7600GS or higher. Don't know about ATI cards.
