[Contest] Design of the Fortnight: Smilie - closed

Welcome to the next installment of the design of the fortnight series.
This one is going to be a bit special. The theme is
Make a Smilie commemorating the hug a dread day. Also the price is a bit special.
More in the rules.

Here are a few simple rules.

• You must use the provided image
• Image must be water marked with FileFront
• You must submit your work within the deadline
• The winner of the competition will receive 7 points in the Graphics League
• The winner will have his smilie entered into the forum smilie list

Due to the greater workload this competition might bring, it is extended into a three week period.
Starting with the 13th october, you have 21 days to enter your works.

I'd like to join, but can someone please give a good tutorial or tell me what I should do to make a decent smiley, because this is totaly new for me
