Hi!!

Im just new to this forum and i need some help please. I have just started to try making my own maps and im totally stuck with the triggers part!! :(
I have read that there is a tutorial for this so can someone please tell me where i can find it, any help would be much appreciated :D

And i thought modding is map making and triggers are used in making the map so how come im in the wrong forum???? :confused: Its supposed to be for helping people making maps or am i wrong Auron ??????????????

I have looked at the links but am still confused about using triggers, i tried making a basic map and still cant get my triggers to work :( Is there anything in a bit more detail or with some examples of triggers anywhere?? I just want my hero to get out the transport ship at the start and i cant even get that to work :D lol

Modding is related to modeling and texture design of units etc. Map making comes under the scenario design forum. But it doesn't really matter all that much.

As for your question - I don't think the 'ungarrison' effect works for ships because there is nothing to specify where the units are placed and it just isn't clever enough to place them on land.
But what you can do is use either the 'unit create' trigger or the 'army deploy' trigger (for the latter you will have to set up a ghost army though).
You can set your condition to 'distance to point' and set it up so that when your ship gets close to a specific place on land it creates the unit.
If you want to use your hero unit in other triggers however you will have to use the 'army deploy' trigger.
