triggers won't load!
 

Hi everyone, i am a dutch boy so don't schock if my Englisch ain't good.....

I've inserted some triggers, for example: cinematic mode, start music etc....

but since today these triggers won't load anymore! Now the whole scenerio won't work as it should be....

help :confused: :( :cya:

edit: I changed the scenario today, so something must have gone wrong then.....

You cant expect us to help you while we're sleeping! We have lives too! Try reinstalling aom.

Well...anyways

ya...try reinstalling...are you sure that you didn't screw with the files in the directory or anything?

all I did was trying to get the AI good... I already cleared it so I still don't know what's wrong :S

I just asked someone to test my scenario, and at his computer the triggers won't load too... If I look at the triggers in the editor, i can see them, but they just don't work... The problem must be in the scenario, not in the game itself....

all right, I figured this out: if I create another level, the triggers do work.... so if I could just copy all the stuff from 1 level to another, then create the triggers i'll be happy, does anybody know how to copy a map? (buldings, nature, units etc.)

Ok i had this problem... What you need to do is rename all the triggers and never ever ever use the 'copy trigger' button again!

Once i renamed the triggers, the map worked. Try it out... (It worked for me)

If that doesn't work you'll have to start again, (It happened to me loadsa times before i figured out the problem so i lost tons of maps in the process.)

hmm it doesn't work for me.... i'll just re-create my map.

by the way: i think you haven't quite understand me:

i just need a way to copy a map, not triggers cause the triggers are the whole problem.....

i luckely found (after a long search) another version of the map, but there still is much to do! Thanks for the help, though it wasn't enough....

sometimes wile using the trigger copy tool (example)-> you copy the trigger "test " later on you want the same trigger for another player so you copy "test " agen now you have 2 x Copy_of_test , the editor dous not understands this so not a single trigger is activated wen map starts and your map seems to have no triggers at all but wen you go back to editor you see all your triggers unharmed yust make the two test triggerts test_1 and test_2 and evrything works agen
