Stargate Alliance: a mod for AoM
 

Hello all
I'm french (so my english is not very well, sorry in advance) and I'm in a Team : We are creating a Stargate Mod for AoM: not a single unit, but a complet mod based on Stargate SG1.
We are seeking people who are intersted to join the team.
we have tutorials for moding aom on the website.

why is every good modelling tutorial (even though this was copied from AOM-MOD, lol) in french?! i'm only half french and can't read it too well, and most people don't know any french... we need a good human translator for these things

nah, the tutorial for making models in GMAX is the exact same one as the one on the site AOM-MOD

I'll join in if ya can get it to me in English, lol :).

I can't seem to be able to model (just doesn't work...), but I'll do some anim and texturing if ya need a hand.

Yes the tutorial are made by Zomac of the AOM-MOD website: I have meet him on a topic that I have made to recruit people for the Stargate Mod, and he had made the tutorial for that, but he had stopped moding AoM, so he had given me the permission to take his tutorial for the Stargate Alliance website.
I need some time because I have importants exam in a week, but after that I'm OK to create a twin version of the website, all in english.
The forum of Stargate Alliance will be online sooner, and I will to brief all the team to post in english in the forum.

That you have writen is very comprensible for a french.
I have speak with 2 of the 3 cowebmaster to speak english in the forum, and to do an other version of the website in english, and they were ok.

Did you know other dynamic forums of Modding AoM ?
I need recruit for the mod.

I have a question in the AoM Modding:
I've try to mod the ui buttom of AoM: but the mod dosn't run:
I'v have try to convert the original file in .bmp and without moding on it, to reconvert in .DDT with the same palletted configuration (with AoMed) and the file didn't run into AoM 'the moding of the face of the god run, but that non: I think it was because the .bmp file lost some information of the .ddt , have you an idea to resolve this ?

the bmp file doesn't lose information... make sure the file is in the right place (aom/textures/ui??) and also in the right format (bit / palette / mipmap format with aomed, and it should be .DDT)
