I think he is referring to the Forgotten Hope subforum being its own little community.

If I may answer to that - most games have their off-topic forum where they can discuss things and this always leads to multiple threads about the same topic. This is a good thing though as this results in many different styles of discussions.
Some people prefer a serious discussion as in the Pub, others a more relaxed one in GD and then some prefer discussing it with their friends from the FH-game.

Huh? The "New Posts" button returns all "new posts" across the forum. Basically it performs a forum search without keywords and lists all the results in chronolical order.

Sometimes this results in it returning simular topics being around all across the board (to which a staffer may decide to move or merge topics, but threads between offtopic forums sections and the general forums section generally aren't merged or moved). Ea: A thread might be moved/merged from the main General Discussion to the Music forum, Pub etc. and a thread in a games General Discusion might be moved to it's rants&raves or offtopic forum (if it has one) but rarely are threads moved/merged from there to the main general forums. Why? For the reasons Fancypants stated.

That feature hasn't changed one bit since it has been around (since forever).

I won't lie, the old page drove me nuts...too many flashing things and bulky tables, so I do like the new site a lot better.

I do think that if someone was stumbling across the site for the first time, it seems like one of those bogus search sites. Doesn't really look finished or something.

I'm not a web designer, but just some graphics-related tips:

-Move the "developers, host your files" box into that column with the link to the forums and the news, and try sprucing it up to look like something FF related, like a joystick and an upload symbol or something.

-Make the features slideshow much bigger. People like pictures and I think if you used a bigger box for the images (and maybe some text with a description) it would really give visitors something to look at and possibly check out.

-Make all that content below the slideshow two columns, maybe with a more vertical format versus horizontal.

Kind of like this:

-more...-

But besides those few things that I think could be improved, I like it a lot more than the old one.

the side looks amazing. much more organized than before.

but i absoloutly don't like the new user site. i can't do anything there now. i had blogs on my profile and it seems they are deleted now. i also could send links to my user page to friends but doesn't work aswell now =/
