FileFront.com gets a makeover

It is so incredible how so many people take the written word the wrong way.

@ toonskull, why don't you try to resubmit your things when the makeover has finished?

I would Blackbird, but as the email above from Mr. Soucy said, they no longer support images. What would be the point of uploading my images?

I loved the image tools here on FF but now they are gone. According to Mr. Soucy they are not coming back.

We get our ads through an ad company whos really in charge of what will be displayed in our frames. When such questionable or adult oriented ads appear we love to hear from the users with screenshots so we can ensure they do not appear again. We recently switched companies as the previous one was just too much hassle with that. Now, we use the same company places like fileshack uses for their ad content. You should never see such an ad again, and if you do it won't exist for much longer thanks to the support from the community in ensuring that this place remains PG-13 rated.

That is nice to know, I do use ad blocker but not everyone on the net does and I picked FF because it was a clean place without links to dark alleys. I am not a prude, I am a teenage boy but I don't care to see female body parts giggling next to a file I post for my friends to download. Sometimes the worst ads are the redirects that jerk you away to win a free wii or something. The only reason I mentioned this is I am aware sites that need revenue badly more than often turn to the darkside of advertisement. I am simply expressing that I have limits even if it doesn't cost me money.

being a member since 2005 of file front, and receiving Emails all the time for this or that from file front.. and then going to the site to see my profile and such, and to see its all "GONE" !!!! WTF? why did i not get any kind of email info on this...
i now have lost all my stuff stored on here, not even a email as to a warning of the site getting a face lift or any thing, last thing i got was a email about the April 1st changing hands thingy.

so i take it that all stuff that was stored on the old site are now all gone, from demo's to mods of all the games advertised on the Site????

I'm really used to how Filefront looked before. My last login was about 3 weeks ago, I hit the Forums in my Favorites and I thought it took me to the wronge page. I like how it looked before, it looks to simple, almost plain, now.

Jesus, I don't bother showing my face for a few weeks and when I come back I can't recognise the place. EVERY SINGLE TIME I TAKE MORE THAN A FEW DAYS AWAY, EVERYTHING CHANGES! RAWR!

At this point, image hosting is not scheduled to make a comeback. But who knows down the road.
